Trump may be a popular celebrity, but Cruz is a constitutional genius and would flat......eat.....Trump....alive.....in front of a huge radio audience.
Yes, that is because you are backing yet another lawyer, trained in debating, who has been nothing but a lawyer and a politician, both glib of tongue, for President. No thank you, give me a businessman who has built a real estate empire over a 30 year career as a doer, over a slick talker, any day of the year. You stick with yet another lawyer who has accomplished nothing in his political career as a Senator other than shutting down gov’t, at great expense to the taxpayers, while accomplishing nothing.
“Yes, that is because you are backing yet another lawyer, trained in debating, who has been nothing but a lawyer and a politician, both glib of tongue”
There is some truth in that. There is a lot more to being a President than winning some debate. Trump has a ton of executive experience and will get things done instead of debating about what to do. GO TRUMP GO
A real tough choice.
BTW, the last sentence on your homepage needs to be taken down if you vote for Trump.
My main intent is to see all liberals defeated in elections, replaced by conservatives.
I regret not recalling Henry Ford’s remarks to the court that attempted to humiliate him for lack of intelligence.
Don’t get me wrong, I respect both Levin and Cruz, but this challenge has the stench of unflattering hubris.
RE: who has accomplished nothing in his political career as a Senator other than shutting down gov’t, at great expense to the taxpayers, while accomplishing nothing.
There used to be a time when Freepers were in full support of the shutdown strategy in order to push the conservative agenda through instead of compromising with the Democrats.
Now I see a lot of FReepers supporting the Mitch McConnell/John Boehner Compromise to avoid a shutdown policy.
I can understand why the establishment like Dole are flocking to Trump.
The fact that just today, Trump tells us that he will have a close, good working relationship with Pelosi, Reid and Schumer tells us everything we know.
See here:
I would bet that when Cruz was hanging firm on the shutdown you were behind him 100% as were nearly all the Freepers on this forum.
Now when he is running against Trump, suddenly Cruz's efforts to control the size of government are considered evil or wasteful.
In reality Trump has no intention of reducing the size of government. Trump supported McConnell and opposed all the Tea Party candidates.
Other than condemning a lot of property to build his Real Estate Empire, what has Trump "accomplished"? What did his donations to the Clinton's buy? What did his donations to McConnell and Pelosi and Reid buy him?
...No thank you, give me a businessman who has built a real estate empire over a 30 year career as a doer, over a slick talker, any day of the year. Very well said! The truth is that Cruz is not a very good lawyer: he just proved it with his foolish remark to Levin saying Trump is "scared" to do the Fox News debate. Trump scared to debate? Who's going to believe that, especially since Fox News was jerking his chain? No, Trump did the kind of bold and courageous thing that real leaders do. Besides, a smart lawyer would never intimidate an opponent like that. Even if Cruz was right, it's a poor strategy because he's turned the advantage to Trump. People will feel Cruz was being unfair. Juries -- and voters -- notice these things. Another point: why is Cruz asking for a one-on-debate? There are several other candidates running for the GOP nomination. Did he think about them? Would it be fair for Trump to only debate Cruz? Finally, Trump is not someone who lets insults pass without a counterpunch. Wouldn't be surprised to see a few Twitter spears flying in Cruz's direction tomorrow morning. So bad judgement all the way around for Cruz. He has definitely lost my trust in the last month. If he should get the nomination and clear his "natural born" status, I would still vote for him, of course, but my backup choice to Trump is now Carson. |
By insulting Trump's manhood,
More like 55 years, since he worked for his father as a teenager.

EXACTLY
ANd how ‘brave’ is it for Cruz to challenge a private citizen to a debate?
