Cruz is no Constitutional genius. Just because he won some cases in the Supreme court he’s supposed to be so bright? He lost almost as many. If he were a pitcher for the White Sox, he’s have been traded a long time ago.5-4 isn’t genius status for me. Nor would he have made quarterback in the NFL or the AFL either. 5-4 just doesn’t cut it.

Why then not so long ago were all the Trumpbots here suggesting Trump pick Cruz for AG or even place him on the Supreme Court, not to mention the long popular Trump/Cruz ticket vibe of many here. The only thing that’s changed about Cruz is Trump’s stated opinion of him. Donald would make a G*R*E*A*T Macy’s parade balloon. No helium needed. Except that Macy’s can’t get alone with him either.
Please spare us all. How many cases have you or the Donald argued before the Supreme Court — all before the age of 45? I believe that Cruz has prepared 80 SC briefs and has argued 30 cases before the Court, including winning the critical Heller Second Amendment case. He also clerked for Chief Justice Rehnquist.
So what do we get with Mr. Trump — a man who has been a Democrat much of his life, who has given large amounts of money to Democrats, has supported infanticide or partial birth abortion for much of his life — and you want to denigrate Cruz. It’s all a bit much.
