I heard this on the radio tonight. Mark Levin offered to be the moderator but did say that he was willing to have them do a Lincoln-Douglas style debate one-on-one ( how that can be done and in what venue is another matter ).

I wish people (including Cruz) wold stop saying Trump is afraid.

That’s just BS.

Trump is taking a stand against biased and unprofessional debate moderators. Something that is long overdue and that we should applaud him for.

I think a large part of Trump’s support is due to his offensive against the MSM, and this is another instance of his willingness to do battle with them.

I am a Cruz supporter but I think its great that Trump has fought back against biased media.

I don’t think its so great to say Trump is “afraid” or worse, “a coward”.

He’s not either. He’s taking the fight to the lamestream media like so many gutless republican politicians should have been doing years ago.

a few years ago there was a TV program where the words from the Lincoln/Douglas debate were made into a movie and 2 actors played the parts..

apparently the debate itself went on for days and the program was over several days weeks 2/3 hours at a time...

it was very good...

Trump doesn’t have the stones to face Megyn Kelly. He sure isn’t going to go up against Cruz. What a wuss.

I like both these men. I hate the fighting. If I were in the lead... and didn’t want to debate/argue/bethetarget...I’d not attend.. my enemy would call me chicken. my allies would call me wise. It’s all in the eyes of the beholder, isn’t it.

Lol, why should Trump give Cruz an audience he couldn’t possibly draw himself? Makes about as much sense as letting Ted leave one of his events of a few hundred and coming to address a Trump rally of thousands.

This challenge to a debate ploy is an old and shopworn attempt of those trailing in the polls to try and gain a big audience at the expense of the front runner.

Were ad hoc insults forbidden, Trump could not win a debate with Daffy Duck. If insults are allowed, then a match-up between Trump and Hulk Hogan, would be a good watch.

That’s all Cruz is...a debater. Not a doer. Literally Cruz was a national college debating champion. And yet he couldn’t even beat Trump in the last one. Trump left him speechless in the most electric exchange of the night. Let’s face it. Ted Cruz is an intelligent and talented man. But not a president.

With Trump there is always another shoe to drop after he makes these over the top decisions. 24 hours pass and he always comes out on top. I have never seen anyone slap b*tches like Thee Donald does. ;)
Go Trump

I really think a Rush moderated Trump - Cruz round table could be very interesting...and health... we need a little alliance building else the bitterness could take us all down...

Rush is key as he has been very balance's between Trump and Cruz... The fact that Cruz and Trump fans both will dispute Rush is balance not bias proves the point

One big Hail Mary on Rafael Eduardo Cruz’s part. He’s ready to go anywhere anytime to debate. His numbers man gave him his internal polling for Iowa and he’s lost. Been in business now he’s throwing the HAIL MARY. Cruz is toast.

Traditionally the challenged chooses the weapon. Perhaps see who can build a multi-story shelter for destitute veterans, or a checkpoint along the Canadian border?

You know, something concrete. Not wind. Square feet instead of footnotes.

The Champ has whipped the guy SIX TIMES and the jabroni wants another rematch!

After every debate during presidential cycles, Republicans and conservatives come on FR and say, rightfully, "WHY does the Republican leadership allow our candidates to participate in these debates moderated by liberals and haters whose questions are totally designed in prejudice and bias to GET the Republican? Why do we do it every year? The Republicans need to refuse to do it with these main stream media/Government controlled media asking the questions with their extreme leftist/Democrat party bias."

EVERY debate season preceding every presidential election. Why doesn't the GOP chairman stop this, why AGREE to it, why not DEMAND to be treated fairly? Why do we need "moderators" asking questions anyway?

NOW we finally have a candidate with the cajones, the only one in this bunch, only one in living memory, to refuse to participate unless the debate host network removes the HIGHLY PARTISAN, unqualified, proven Trump hater, transparently seeking to curry favor with her left wing friends and colleagues.

And NOW the Cruzers on FR who weren't even around for all these previous debates in history, knew or cared nothing about politics or were simply Democrats---NOW these people, to support their Establishment candidate, call Trump a COWARD, he's too afraid to face Megyn Kelly. Even Ted Goldman Sachs Cruz is saying it. That's pitiful, because THIS is EXACTLY what conservatives and republicans have wanted for years and years: to NOT let the host network get away with using moderators who are leftists intent upon embarrassing and trying to ruin our candidates, in this case Trump.

So Trump is THE one to set the precedent, to DO what everyone before just TALKED about, and the idiots who should be over on Commitment2Establishment so childishly say, Trump is afraid of Megyn Kelly! LOL!!!!!!!!!!

PS---Trump kicked ass in SIX DEBATES and no one laid a glove on him, and now the losers want another shot at the heavy weight champion. But they aren't in his class. So no rematch.

I would love to watch or listen to a Cruz/Trump one on one debate. Cruz would mop the floor with Trump.

Mark Levin should stay totally out of this. Otherwise the debate sounds like a good idea.

Not sure what it would prove though since its likely Cruz would win in this format being that he is a lawyer and noted orator.

Trumps style is different and he is not a lawyer. But i don’t think that should put him at a disadvantage for being president. As long as he has good sense and leadership qualities he should be a viable candidate.

Just some random thoughts. .
