I think this is a shot across the bows of the SCOTUS. In a different era that would get you a heavily weighted judgement against. The lefties on this court will line up for Obama without cracking a law book. The question will be the other five. Roberts and Kennedy hold the future of checks and balances in their hands. This will be important for a Trump presidency, as well.
