Nicely written, idea driven, coherent and logical case for Cruz. A little too complex for some trumpy intellects, I suspect.

Yes, it does.

Vice president would be ok with me.

“Is it true freepers are being banned for saying they will vote for Ted?” No, from what I’ve heard, they were banned for posting thirty articles a day, and tag teaming to control the the board.

I’m not attacking anyone when I say Cruz is THE BEST candidate. Those with eyes, let them see.

“He is no match for a lefty Alinsky, reality star, low-info marketing genius.”

You nailed it! And, Ted should not resort to the dirty tactics used by Trump and others in this race.

“He not only displayed a consistent winning temperament throughout the time we were together, but did so in a way that drew out the highest quality of professional thinking from those with whom he worked and supervised.”

This reminds me of what Ronald Reagan said:

“There is no limit to the amount of good you can do if you don’t care who gets the credit.”

Except he’d rather talk smack about Scalia and appoint his pro partial birth abortion sister.

He’s a liberal...why on earth would you think he would appoint a staunch conservative to the court?

Glenn Beck destroyed Cruz’s chances.

I’d still like to see him as VP, but he’s damaged now.

No...well maybe partially. But from what I saw, they were being banned for saying they would not vote if Trump is the nominee, choosing their sacred honor and principles instead.

Can one of you ping me when Cruz makes a statement about the latest group of illegals brought into NY, allowed to go through without a 2nd look.

Just want to know what he has to say about it all. Thanks

Don’t worry, he will be there filtering out the potential H1Bs that he can support.

“in Iowa he rejected all temptation to pander to voters by lending support to the market-distorting federal ethanol mandates that are so important to certain rent-seeking segments of the Iowa farm economy.”

That goes beyond the call of duty.

Cruz has been around for a while. In all this time, he bas been known as a true conservative. So far, everything people have advanced this election cycle shows him to be a true conservative. He’s no fake. I think he is everything conservatives have wanted.

For me, Trump is relatively new on the scene. In an election cycle a politician can say anything. He can tilt right to get the nomination, tilt towards the middle in the general election, tilt left to establish his “legacy.”

Donald Trump has done something great. He’s stood up and given political correctness the middle finger. Hurrah! I love it. Maybe I love him right now. Better Trump than Graham, Jeb Bush, Obama-Clinton-Sanders. Astoundingly good for an initial foray into politics. But I haven’t seen a conservative track record. Maybe his supporters can create a Donald Trump historical record, now that we are in the election cycle. But that is too late for me. Maybe he can think about 2020, or 2024. Maybe Trump wouldn’t think it worth the bother, as he finds new interests. Short attention span theatre.

I knew Cruz as one of the conservatives funded by the Senate Conservatives Fund. I knew him as a member of the Tea Party. I see past videos of him standing toe-to-toe with prominent liberals as he presented unpopular conservative positions. Ronald Reagan faced his trial by liberal fire while Governor. Ted Cruz has faced his trial by liberal fire as Senator.

In my opinion Reagan and Cruz are conservative intellectuals. Back in the day, liberals would have howled at the idea that Reagan was an intellectual. They believed their own presentation of him as an amiable dunce. In truth, he was well-read and had spent some time thinking about things. No one doubts Cruz’s intellect, so he will get the usual “heard-hearted,” “evil,” “meany” treatment. He is none of those things, and won’t tack left in an endeavor to earn kind words from the New York Times, etc.

Indeed, Trump’s track record is almost all in the opposite direction.
