Hillary not worried email flap will hurt candidacy chances

WASHINGTON - Hillary Clinton said Sunday she's not worried about her email server damaging her presidential campaign despite an independent investigator finding super-secret messages on her homebrew server.

"I'm not concerned," Clinton told NBC's "Meet the Press," "because I know what the facts are. I never sent or received any material marked 'classified.' I cannot control what the Republicans leak and what they are contending."

The inspector general for the intelligence community alerted Congress recently that emails Clinton turned over to the State Department included several that were more compartmentalized than top secret.

It's technically true for another reason as well. The word 'classified' is not a classification, such as 'top secret,' so no classified document is marked "classified." Classified refers to a general category of documents that have various classifications. Like 'SAP.'

Here is a government-produced guide to classified document markings from 2001. The chapter on Markings starts on page 17 with examples of classified documents shown.

Guide to Marking Classified Documents

The Justice dept has already said they don’t think there is enough evidence to investigate Hillary>

“I never sent or received any material marked ‘classified.’”

That response sounds like it could be the ‘coaching’ of disbarred, ex-lawyer Bill.

When do we hear about “Is Is” again?

That’s a laugh riot. When she says she’s not worried, she is in fact consumed with worry. The Clintons and the Left always say the opposite of the truth as part of their permanent disinformaiton campaign.

The word classified is used in a generic sense and is itself not a level of security and documents are never marked with the word CLASSIFIED. The three levels of classified materials are CONFIDENTIAL, SECRET and TOP SECRET. All three of these levels are considered classified materials.

She is word gaming and parsing her words so she must really be in trouble.

That is correct. Someone needs to ask her: "Did you ever send or receive emails specifically marked "Confidential", "Secret", or "Top Secret?". As you've stated, there are no secure documents marked "Classified" (except maybe in the movies or on TV.) This is Hillary's version of "it depends on what the meaning of the word "is" is."

Bill’s perjury was “just about sex”. Hillary’s mishandling Top Secret material is an “email flap”. The way things are framed shows the bias of these writers.

“National security disaster” would be just a tad more accurate than “email flap” wouldn’t it?

She is right. None of the material she sent on to contributors was marked “classified”. Why, do I know this to be a fact? Because classified is not a document classification that is used to describe material she receives. It is Top Secret, SAP etc. Not classified.
I did not have sex with that girl.

The honest agents in the FBI (and, yes, I believe there are plenty)

That sounds like "moderate moslem." Or Yeti. Or the Loch Ness Monster. Or Area 51 Aliens.

There are people who believe these things exist, but nobody has actual proof. And this is not just about the FBI. Pick an agency of the federal government, and find the honest person. I bet his would be Waldo, if you actually find one.

I’m sure she’d have a weasel-worded answer for it no matter how you phrased it. I don’t know why any reporter has to ask her since we now know beyond any shadow of a doubt that she sent and received thousands of classified documents, including dozens of SAP documents and her email telling a subordinate to remove a classified header and send the doc unsecured has been made public. Those are facts not speculations.

She’s not worried? If that’s true, she’s further gone than even we thought.

The hucksters in the media are missing the point - the original document and classification is the only thing that matters by the letter of the law. It does not matter what she saw or did not see nor how her staff “sanitized” the emails.

Whoever emailed them to her private email address committed a felony. Whoever received them on a private email server committed a felony. Whoever KNEW that she was doing this committed a felony. This is ugly. She seems to be setting herself up for a “I did not know” defense, but I don’t see too many career bureaucrats or people around her that will eat huge Federal prison sentences. She does not inspire that kind of loyalty and I promise you there are emails within State where employees expressed concern about the situation or simply refused to forward stuff.

The “I did not know” defense will not work if she was told this was a bad idea or illegal.

Notice how all the Democrat leaders join in defending her?

No?

That’s because they aren’t.

They are scared to death of what she’s done.

She just keeps embarrassing herself.

Mrs. Clinton gave her stock answer which is: "I never sent or received emails marked "Classified".

I've seen a few classified documents in my day and in fact none of them were marked "Classified". Instead, they were marked "Confidential", "Secret", or "Top Secret".

With a Clinton, you have to parse the words very carefully.

The stuff is not marked classified. Rather it is marked Secret, Confidential, Top Secret. But not marked classified.

Agreed. If I has intentionally mishandled even one TS-codeword document, or told someone to email it to me with the classifications stripped off, I would be behind bars for decades. And I would deserve it. By definition, the leak of TS material can cause "exceptionally grave damage" to the United States.

Their Kenyan, Obama, has been able to get away with breaking the law for seven years. I guess they figure Clinton should be able to break the law too. Laws only apply to conservatives and Republicans.
