Austin, Texas is supposed to be capital of coolness, the hippest place to be for a certain kind of people. SXSW and all that. But city officials there did not take it well when a municipal employee enlivened a 45 page presentation by using a satirical map of the city to demonstrate a point about a street.

The map, which the staffer apparently downloaded from the Internet, made the rounds months ago on social media as 'Judgmental Austin' and 'features derogatory labels for our city,' City Manager Marc Ott told the mayor and City Council in a memo late Wednesday. 'Using this backdrop was completely inappropriate.'

Sad to say, but our state capitol, the Peoples Republic of Austin... is so tied up in their liberal belief of total diversity & tolerance that they will shoot on sight anyone who has the slightest objection to all they march in lock step to--

Besides being funny, the map can be VERY USEFUL to people that are relocating there.

I was born in Austin and grew up in the “COMFY FATTIES” area of the map. I left Austin as soon as I could.

Anyone visiting Texas for the first time needs to know that Austin is not representative of Texas, it is the San Francisco of Texas.
