Doug Giles would impress me more if he had the starch to name names. Instead he hides behind a facade of keeping his friends anonymous, for whatever pusillanimous reason.

But the establishment types all do it--Giles, Bill Bennett, who claims he has "major conservative" friends who declare they will vote for Hillary if Trump gets the nom. But Bennett, like Giles, is too much the spineless coward to tell us who his friends are. No one should take anything seriously that is reported by someone claiming to be a direct witness but unwilling to name names.

Lincoln spurned the Constitution during the Civil War, imprisoning suspected saboteurs without due process or habeas corpus. But he won the fricken war, saved the Union and duly apologized later when it was safe.
