Palin has a large influence on the Tea Party still. The NR hit piece will likely add next week. What were they thinking and who do they think they are?
Friday they were begging their few subscribers left to stop cancelling. Serves them right.
My biggest complaint about them is their utter hypocrisy.
Where were the “Leading Conservatives” when the Congress became Republican, promising to overturn Obamacare, to oppose him, to massively cut spending, to do the right thing? Why didn’t they write missives THEN?
And thinking about it, when Bush won in 2000, along with a Republican Senate AND House, why couldn’t we enact CONSERVATIVE legislation THEN? Remember Trent Lott “sharing power” with Tom Dashhole? What Queensberry Rules crap was THAT?
Where were the “Leading Conservatives” then? Where was the constant articles against such nonsense by National Review then? All they did then was spout neo-conservatism, and leading us into the awful trap of nation building, which was just continued by Obama in Egypt, Libya and Syria. And Bush and his party leaders were all pro-illegal amnesty, too.
When you think about Trump, you’ll realize that the ABANDONMENT of Conservatism by these “Leading Conservatives” caused the Trump phenomenon in the first place!
It's also about many of the GOP-ers losing their funding sources from lobbyists big donors, big moneyed interests etc. Lots of that could go away if the Donald, who is beholden to no one, gets elected. Many of those ass clowns can't get by without their pacifiers.
All the other gop candidates with the possible exception of Carson are owned by big moneyed interests.

Palin’s influence peaked a few years back.
As far as National Review - they went RINO the day Bill Buckley was buried. I have subscribed to them for a very long time. My oldest daughter enjoys reading their stuff still. Myself no so much
