I say to myself...”Well obviously, Pat, he doesn’t want to come over but doesn’t want to turn you down.” Which seems to be the truth.
But I look up to the sky and wonder why the hell not? He calls me every week and if I don’t answer he leaves a message but I rarely call him back. Which is no mind but he keeps calling me.
I’m not complaining, not at all. I consider him a friend and my invite to dinner was based on that. If he’s got a girlfriend now, so? HE CAN BRING HER!
Let me shut up.....we’ll call this book “Exploits of an old lady looking for a man.”
Cause I don’t have a clue and so far I am batting zero.
While Onyx is in the room and so I can impress her, allow me to mention that I gave my contribution to the Freepathon this past week.
I get more and more convinced that it’s worth a contribution to keep FreeRepublic going. You don’t get a virus when you click in, you don’t get overwhelmed with ads, dropping down, forcing surveys, demanding we click to another page.....omg I don’t give a fortune to Free Republic but it’s worth every dime of it for what it provides....a collection of news ongoing, ongoing commentary of like minds....a simple layout.
So throw some money in the bucket is what I’m saying here.
Also think Onyx’s dog is adorable...I am in love with bull dogs after having Blanca. Love their soft mouths, man I muzzle up to Blanca and kiss that hallow spot over her nose.
