I heard that and I agree. What had me scratching my head was that the snow would probably last for a few days (at least 2 of which were on the weekend and I would think most of these Gov employees don’t work weekends anyway - not counting SS, some FBI, CIA, etc.). Why do they need a month extension for a few snow days if not to delay some more?

I agree. And let us not forget, we (or at least many of us)thought Ryan was going to abolish Uncle Joe in the debates and that didn’t work out so well for Ryan. Biden may have a lot of gaffes, but the media don’t report them or brush them off. Many people find him likeable - Hillary not so much, and he doesn’t have all of Hillary’s baggage; so, I think he would be a more formidable candidate and ValJar could potentially still stay in the WH as the puppet master (for Soros??). This is definitely an interesting election and I suspect it will get even more so over the next months.

I can’t wait for the first Trump / SCOTUS throwdown. SCOTUS loathes that slippage toward irrelevancy because it s usually a permanent slippage.

All new ambassadors get invited to the WH for a photo-op. The Ambassador is the President's personal representative to the country he is assigned to. It doesn't matter whether they are career officers or political appointees.

The only relevance of his sexual preference is that he becomes a bigger target for the bad guys only reason I brought it up.He definitely needed the extra security he requested. How do you explain his requests for additional security being denied.

Some bureaucrat in DS or NEA ruled against it for whatever reason. The reality is that the host government is the real guarantor of security for our diplomatic personnel. We should never have had anyone there after the British Ambassador was attacked in his car in Benghazi. If the host government can't protect you, you get out.

I think part of why he was killed is that he knew too much as you state he was imminently qualified. I also read he had converted to Islam as far as that goes.

I have no knowledge of any conspiracy to kill him, Whatever he knew, other people knew as well. I have never heard he converted to Islam. If he did, I would think that the Obama administration would have publicized it as a positive.

Here’s the big question of the day …WHERE IS JEB BUSH’S BROTHER? Also Donald Trump welcomes the entry of former NY Mayor Bloomberg into the race. Much more in this weekly political show recap.

You mean George W.?

I kinda like the fact that he’s elusive and quiet. Just imagine how much better it would be politically if all politicians went home and shut up when their time was done!

Think of Jimmy Carter, Bill Clinton, Algore, and Tony Blair, to just name a few. They NEVER shut their YAPPERS!

It is so annoying!

And now we soon have Barraq Hussien Obama to add to this “pantheon”.

No thanks!

Hillary Clinton, too, but she’ll be on the phone looking thru the Plexiglas in the prison visitor’s area!

Aloha Altura,

Hope that the purchase of your new home is coming along well!

My leanings are based more on frustration and anger. There was a fairly good thread in the last day or so on Cold Anger.

I haven’t heard Trump say anything about a single-payer healthcare - he’s said many times that he wants people to buy over state lines to make it more affordable, have more competitors and more free-enterprise.

I’ve been employed by business enterprises (both profit and not for profit) over many years. Businesses and their employees are being asked to do more with less (this is nothing new). One of the things I do like about Trump is that he is a successful businessman. They know that you need to skim the deadweight, to cut costs and succeed. I’m hoping that’s what he will do with the Fed Gov, it has been growing and has gotten much worse under Obama. I think he’ll put people in place that know how to make the right decisions to do this. We have to get control of our spending and our government and weed out the deadweight and hopefully at least some of the libs. Our country has been going downhill fast and we need to turn it around to save it. Just my $.02.

There are so many people on the Sunday thread that I totally respect.

I understand the anger. Oh, yeah. I think I may have seen the thread.

I think anger and frustration are Trump’s big attraction.

I was in there as well, shouting Amen, when Trump would make some of his out there statements, stuff we’d been wanting to say, stuff we’d been wanting to hear.

And the great thing was that Trump is such a celebrity, the media couldn’t ignore him so it all got out there.

I will always appreciate Trump for that and I’ve said so many times.

But I just find that I like Trump less and less and trust him less and less.

Since it looks like he’s gonna make it, I hope I’m wrong.

PS. Thanks for asking about the house. It’s a short sale and we’ve been approved but banks take a while.

If Clinton loses Iowa and New Hampshire and word comes out from FBI she is in legal problems, how will she come back?
Hillary may be overwhelmed with problems and cannot focus on the campaign. Her image seems to be out of touch with the real world not addressing her legal issues. She sits there and blames republicans for things she started.

This is the first time I’ve heard anyone say Bush worked the system after leaving office for personal gain. Do you have some examples?

My Mom used to tell us if we watched Mass on TV when we were sick or unable to go out that we were covered. I believe this was sanctioned under Pope John XXIII or Paul XI. late 50’s, early 60”s.

He hasn't said much about lowering taxes or revising the tax code or getting rid of the IRS

Well, not besides stating that the US is the highest taxing nations in the world, and he wants to make it one of the lowest.

>> I even wrote a song about it.

so you're the one that wrote one of my favorite songs, "Under the Sea" from the Little Mermaid

No, actually it's like this: Imagine it being sung by Monty Python's Eric Idle, with stand-up bass, acoustic guitar, and oboe accompaniment...and cartoon illustrations:

OH.......

The sun shines on the ocean,
And it turns the water green
The big fish eat the little fish
It's a bloody orrible scene.
And, it all falls to the bottom
Tons of pressure smash it all down....(pause)
And it turns into petroleum
Which makes the world go 'round

Everybody sing!

The sun...
