The media invested everything in the Obama Presidency and now the media will invest everything in the Clinton campaign for financial and political reasons. The media will downplay what the FBI recommends and focus more on Trump and Cruz fights. It will be up to Trump and Cruz to go over the media’s head. Hillary will be weakened but there is too much money invested in her campaign. People want to buy political influence, which is always for sale to the highest bidder.

Why would they send a gay to be ambassador in Benghazi? Doesn’t sound like a very good decision. The information never really leaked out because there was much more to the story. Still cannot understand why they didn’t support Stevens? Was he the man who knew too much? Most likely. Zero is famous for sending all kinds of gays, islamos and blacks into positions of higher authority anywhere and everywhere qualified or not.Its not much of a secret. after position,AG twice,CIA,val/jar,its endless. That's my guess, why else would they put Stevens in a position of not having any security at all except the locals who ran away the minute the fighting started. They knew Benghazi was about to blow up it was happening almost daily yet they let him go unsecured.

Then all the stand down orders during the ordeal. Sure looks like a hit to me. Don't know what else to call it. Stevens knew a lot and had a rep of loose lips, may have contributed to his demise.

My nieces are celebrating birthdays next week.

For their gift I want to take them out to dinner to an all-you-can-eat buffet. The catch is....I get a hankering for king crab legs that won’t leave me alone. Haven’t had any for five years.

Down here by the ocean we have all kinds of buffets like this though if opened this time of year is questioned.

Maybe it’s cause I’m from Merryland, where crabs rule the planet as they should, that I am a devotee of all things sea-worthy and wearing shells.

Crabs....of course, steamed, lots of Old Bay. Shrimp....have at least one shrimp meal every two weeks. Lobster....never have lobster. Which is not to say I don’t want some....who doesn’t love lobster? Except my beloved deceased husband who lived both in Merryland and Massachusetts though he was born and bred in Indiana. Thus stuff with shells on it are not, and should not be considered, food.

Also like rock lobster....had some of that in San Francisco once, in a galaxy far away.

Anyway.....just thinking out loud.

An FBI recommendation for an indictment will act as an albatross around her neck. She would be finished no matter what the MSM did or how the Clinton campaign tried to spin it.

Trump has already said he would be open to prosecuting her depending on the statute of limitations. If she gets less than Petraeus, it will be a scandal of the highest order. Now DOD is talking about taking a star away from him.

The Benghazi event must have been much more than we will ever know because they had to lie about a video to the families to cover-up the truth. The administration has a pattern of putting politics first over what is right. Rice and Hillary had to go out and look the American people in the eye and lie. Telling the truth is not important especially when there is an election going on. The e-mails are released slowly drip, drip. The same for the Mayor of Chicago, who played the same game when he was Chief of Staff.

The Clinton sexual assault stories combined with the FBI investigations is enough to slow down the Hillary campaign.
Obama is running around trying to change the subject with other issues to keep the lazy media (looking for talking points) occupied. There is more going on in the Democrat Party than the media wishes to report. The Democrats have a game plan should Hillary face punishment. Her negatives may prevent her from moving ahead with any real enthusiasm, unless the Democrats can scare blind followers about Republicans.

Stevens was ambassador to Libya. He was a career foreign service officer who spent most of his career in the Arab world and spoke Arabic. He was a key interlocutor during the Libyan civil war.

I am fairly confident in saying that the State Department recommended to the WH that Stevens be named the Ambassador to Libya.

From 1983 to 1985, he taught English as a Peace Corps volunteer in Morocco.

Stevens joined the United States Foreign Service in 1991. His early overseas assignments included: deputy principal officer and political section chief in Jerusalem; political officer in Damascus; consular/political officer in Cairo and consular/economic officer in Riyadh. In Washington, Stevens served as Director of the Office of Multilateral Nuclear and Security Affairs; Pearson Fellow with the Senate Foreign Relations Committee and Senator Richard Lugar; special assistant to the Under Secretary for Political Affairs; Iran desk officer and staff assistant in the Bureau of Near Eastern Affairs.

He had served in Libya twice previously: as the Deputy Chief of Mission (from 2007 to 2009) and as Special Representative to the National Transitional Council (from March 2011 to November 2011) during the Libyan revolution. He arrived in Tripoli in May 2012 as the U.S. Ambassador to Libya. Stevens spoke English, French and some Arabic.

I doubt his sexual preferences had anything to do with his selection to be Ambassador. He was simply the best qualified for the job. I also doubt that Obama or Hillary knew him well either. Hillary got his name wrong the night of the attack on Benghazi.

Or Biden enters the race or is nominated at the convention. Biden is the insurance policy.

I never said anything and still have no idea, but I always thought his Valjar etc connections came from my writings here. He would pretty much cover what we talked about a month later. I am probably wrong, but it sure seemed coincidental at the time.

wouldn’t surprise me. I listen to Rush when he comes on 12 EST, but before the show I have read many FR posts/articles and have come to realize he’s just covering what has already been done here, including some of the summation/observation.

Rush at least says “ from my stack of articles “ here to give credit that he’s not the originator.

Was Hillary incompetence the reason for her not responding to Steven’s cry for more protection? When it came to raising money through the Clinton Foundation, she was busy answering e-mails while getting paid as Sec. of State. How can public servants get away with working other jobs, not focusing on their job descriptions? Are many of these political appointed hacks qualified to lead very complicated agencies? They go in poor and become rich milking the political system. They are not patriots!

Biden would be a weak candidate with gaffes every second.
Maybe Kerry would be pushed by Obama to replace Hillary.
The Hillary campaign seems desperate and weak. The media looks desperate and weak with their support of a flawed candidate. The low turn out could influence Congress and Senate races unless someone can generate some energy into the Presidential campaign. So far, only Trump and Cruz are creating some enthusiasm. The Democrats are promoting possible criminal activities, if they support people who are under investigation for wrong doing.

Biden has been VP for 8 years. He would gladly take on the mantle of Obama's third term. Obana would campaign enthusiastically for Biden. He would be a far more formidable candidate than Hillary. Biden destroyed Ryan in the VP debate in 2012. The unions and minorities like Biden better than Hillary.

Maybe Kerry would be pushed by Obama to replace Hillary.

Seriously doubt it.

So far, only Trump and Cruz are creating some enthusiasm.

Trump and Sanders are the ones generating enthusiasm. No one else's crowds approach their numbers.

I have met all the candidates Dem. and Rep. Trump and Sanders had huge crowds. Hillary and Cruz had small crowds compared to the other two. You are right. Not sure someone like Biden can generate much enthusiasm unless the media scares them about losing sacred free stuff from the government. Trump has the largest crowds of all the candidates. There are more media at Trump events too.
