a Department of Interior employee based in the area said in an email. "We’re forced to move out of our homes and out of our town,..."

Where do they get the authority to do that? Are all FedMob employees subject to whatever orders a Fed LE agency gives them?

a Department of Interior employee
= = =

That would be BLM and Refuge.

Probably were told that they were potential targets for the Militia by the Feds and maybe Sherrif.

Don’t know how they were ‘forced’. By the FBI or BLM bosses with some threat (no legal basis), or in their own head the Militia ‘forced’ them.

I’m no lawyer, but I would guess two possible ways ...

bogus ‘hot pursuit’

or a bogus warrant.

But there was also a claim of terrorism as a way for more federal powers. A terrorism claim is normally never publicized.
