Donald Trump leads the polls nationally and in most states in the race for the Republican presidential nomination. There are understandable reasons for his eminence, and he has shown impressive gut-level skill as a campaigner. But he is not deserving of conservative support in the caucuses and primaries. Trump is a philosophically unmoored political opportunist who would trash the broad conservative ideological consensus within the GOP in favor of a free-floating populism with strong-man overtones. Trump's political opinions have wobbled all over the lot. The real-estate mogul and reality-TV star has supported abortion, gun control, single-payer health care à la Canada, and punitive taxes on the wealthy. (He and Bernie Sanders have shared more than funky outer-borough accents.) Since declaring his candidacy he has taken a more conservative line, yet there are great gaping holes in it.

The reason why I can't take you guys seriously is because you don't accuse your own guy-- Ted Cruz-- of being a pathological liar, even though he's lied to you about his history on immigration. So I'm sitting here listening to you guys rant on about how liberal Trump is... the same Trump who single handedly crushed the media and moved the entire GOP to the right on Islam, immigration, trade, etc.,... meanwhile, you're harrassing me to support a candidate who I can prove is a liar.
Why should I switch my vote from Trump, who has done so much for the conservative movement, to a confirmed liar? Why should I fall for your propaganda when you are so nasty, filthy and delusional that you don't even know what your own candidate believes in before you tell me that he is the "one true conservative"?

Trump supporters just prefer to attack Cruz, lie about Cruz, and lie in defense of Trump rather than debate the issues with Trump. One thing a lot of people may not have picked up on was the report prior to the National Review segment, the one with John Sununu. His attack wasn't as blatant but he spent the entire time discounting the polls and saying that Trump wasn't a given. He also took jabs at Trump's record. It wasn't as bad as when he goes on CNN and really slams Trump but neither Kelly or Sununu bothered to mention that Sununu has been opposed to Trump from the beginning of the campaign season. Very deceptive hit piece disguised as a report on the upcoming NH primary. Megyn still hasn't gotten over being dumped by Trump and this was another example of how she is using her show as one giant attack ad.
Doesn't really matter what you claim when Ted Cruz explicitly declares his support for "common sense immigration reform" that "brings illegals out of the shadows." The scumbags have claimed to have "debunked" these things, but they are depraved liars who don't know anything anyway, so I have no reason to take them seriously. Obviously I have to take Ted Cruz's earlier words over them any day.

Too bad you support the liberal socialist that previously supported AMNESTY, including condemning Romney for being too harsh on illegals (2013), hiring illegals and admitting it (2015), allowing for touchback amnesty (2015), and tweeting that he supports amnesty after the border has been sealed.
