First to note: Senators Ted Cruz and Marco Rubio didn’t show up to vote (they’re too busy asking Americans for a promotion).

Second to note: Even though Senator Rand Paul is also running for president, he made time to show up and vote on the right side. (Nay)

Lastly note and ask yourselves why Joni Ernst, Kelly Ayotte, and Jeff Flake would vote yes for this radical judge while someone like McCain had the good sense to vote no.

The confirmed Minnesota judge is Wilhelmina Wright. Early in life the Obama nominee accused Ronald Reagan of "bigotry" in writing: (h/t The Free Beacon)

Yep...take a paycheck...don't do your job. At least Trump had his children take over responsibilities.

Cruz & Rubio were hired to be representatives. Good thing you are happy with the no shows. Guess their voters aren't that important.

Maybe next time, resign from office to run for president.

Sooo...according to your logic, Rubio and Cruz should have had their children submit their votes? Sheez [shaking head]

this and trump dumping republican party twice are the two main stories,.

too funny!!!

and i’m sure there are two sides to BOTH stories.

FR is hysterical during a primary.

i’ve never followed one before :)

I note that Rand Paul was present for the vote. Must not have been able to get a date.

Cruz and Rubio are paid to do their Senate job, not run for President.

Both have enough money to hop a plane, vote and return to campaigning.

Nope. Resign from office and run for the office.

When I don't show up for work and still collect a paycheck...that's called stealing.

How many votes does it take for approval?

How much difference would it have made? Could they have subtracted a couple of the “yeas”????

“Cruz & Rubio were hired to be representatives.”

This is a stupid argument. If their vote would have mattered then, yes, they should be there, but now you’re just trying to find something to hate Cruz about. Maybe you should focus on the fact that Trump supports liberal policies and actually try vetting him before casting stones.

“Cruz and Rubio are paid to do their Senate job, not run for President.”

They are paid to represent the people and the people need them to push conservative issues, not waste time on a symbolic vote that would not make any difference. If they hopped that planed you speak of then that would be pretty poor use of their supporters’ money.

I don’t care if you criticize Cruz for his policies, but this little crap is getting really old and showing Trump supporters’ true hatred and desperation.

Is Cruz still taking a paycheck? If not, then I'm cool with him not being there.

“I’m cool with him not being there.”

You wouldn’t be cool with anything Cruz does. I’ve seen all of your posts on FR and you’re nothing, but an irrational Cruz hater.

Unfortunately, you don’t realize that you’re alienating all of the Cruz supporters on here and in case you haven’t seen the polls, Trump will NOT win the general without Cruz supporters. As is, Hillary is increasing her lead over Trump in the recent polls.

McCain - no.

That is McCain being typical McCain. He voted no to appear ‘conservative’ because he is running for reelection.

Exactly right — senators miss votes all the time — even those not running for POTUS. Rand Paul can show up because he’s got nothing better to do — his campaign is effectively over. What a lot of people don’t understand is these votes are often scheduled at the last minute — or within a day or two, and it’s hard to get back to D.C. for every one.

The standard really should be if their vote would make a difference, they should be there. Also, I would note that governors Christie and Kasich spend an awful lot of time outside of their respective states to campaign. Should they resign too?

Listen AH,

If you are a senator, show up and do your job.
Then do the other things you want to do.

It’s not that hard. Show up and vote.
