I know I wouldn't listen to anything Huck said going forward.

Seems the Lord is fighting Ted Cruz's battle for him, as it should be.....

I know politics is a dirty business, but leave that to the secular to do that as they do it best.

Gossip is not a virtue Mr. Huck....., especially on an avowed Christian as your brother in Christ TED CRUZ is. Shame on you, you should know better.

I’m so glad someone said that. According to MY bible, the tithes were for Levites and the Temple. Neither one exists anymore.

Offerings...sure, why not?

“...opponents and pastors alike suggested Cruz ... has flouted the Biblical commandment of tithing in his personal life.”

There is no “Biblical commandment of tithing”. Tithing was an Old Testament Law. (IIRC, it was in place even before the Law was handed down.) We’re no longer under the Law, but are in the Age of Grace. Nothing in the New Testament instructs Christians to tithe. I know preachers preach it, and it’s a good thing to do if you want to (even better to give more than 10%), but it’s not mandatory.

Go Trump.

Every time Cruz gets up and politically evangelizes to the choir, the less people are going to vote for him. I know people that can’t get past the turn-off of Cruz evangelizing, and these people are not atheists. They re secular conservatives who dont mind a mention of God and his role in the world, but they do mind being actually preached to by a politician.

Very well said.

Trump has done it perfectly.

I remember a few months ago when Trump was giving a speech at one of his (massive) rallies.

He mentioned his faith, mentioned the Bible, and then quickly moved on.

As I was watching him talk about that stuff, I was thinking, "Easy Donald, don't get too churchy...."

And he didn't. People don't want to hear Bible scripture when they can't afford to make their car payments because they lost their jobs to illiterate Mexicans.

Trump is not running as a holier than thou evangelical Christian. Cruz is.

Which is why Trump is winning.

The percentage of the American population that want a preacher as President is so small, it's not even worth considering.

Republicans have fallen into the religion trap for decades. It's about time we stopped it.

Well, I never did - I know a lot of Christians hold him up, and I know that as a social Conservative, Huck has met the mark and then some. But in other conservative venues, he is and has been deplorable.

As a Reagan Conservative, I am pretty careful to look also to the needs of those other conservative factions.

It is too bad the Christians got behind Huck in '07/'08 - Would that they had picked Hunter or Tanc, Both of whom would have met their basic needs, but who were also solid all-around Conservatives. Had they done so, I think things would have turned out much differently.

This time, lifting Cruz up, the Christians are right on the money. Let's hope it works.

That is exactly what I am doing every night In prayer.

In chatting with my friends and relatives via email, I am getting a lot of response back that they too are off of Trump...,perhaps this movement is going forward now. I always use the X10 factor in thinking about this change.

Trump is just not as important as he thinks he is. Perhaps Palin hitched her star to a black hole.

Me too.

That's really great to hear. As for me, I have yet to find a single Trump supporter IRL, and I am looking pretty hard. No bumper stickers (none at the three churches I have dealings with for sure), No hats... nothing. Was just at WallyWorld, and I parked way back in the parking lot and walked in... not a single Trump bumper sticker in the whole way, coming or going...

Trump is just not as important as he thinks he is. Perhaps Palin hitched her star to a black hole.

I think that's true.

This election has sure brought out a lot of emotions. We are so eager to WIN......we too are liable to go in that Black hole.

I think many at my Church are just hesitant to speak out on it, but my email family listens and discerns very well.

We just have to trust the Lord that for the prayers of many HE is faithful to answer. We must keep that faith going.

The trump movement kind of reminds me of when the Jews begged GOD for a KING, everyone else had their king. GOD did not like it, and said that HE was enough for them, but they said they wanted one they could see. GOD was not pleased but HE did give them SAUL, and we know how that worked out. Trump/Saul??
