Yes.
Please read the American Thinker article about Trump having donated to the Karl Rove PAC for McConnell. It appears that Trump is as big a liar as McConnell.

Trump was, until last June, a businessman who had to deal with whatever politicians had an influence (or whom he thought would have an influence) over whether and how much money he would make. He was not a politician.
Businessmen literally cannot afford to tick off pols on either side - like bartenders. Rich businessmen pretty much HAVE to donate to both sides - see how far you get without greasing the right palms in some fashion or another. This particular rich businessman operates almost exclusively in big cities, most of which are controlled by Dems. He operates there not because of the politics, but because cities are where the biggest concentrations of wealth are, and thus the greatest opportunities to make money.
You want real news? Find out that Ted Cruz donated to Bill Clinton’s campaign, or when Bernie Sanders donated to Reagan’s - and you won’t find it, because in the political industry (and make no mistake, it IS an industry) you just don’t do that kind of thing. But most other industries have a different set of rules.
