But also, Mr. Lear must be saying the same thing about Sen. Cruz.

He always was a lefty. You were supposed to have been shocked by what Archie Bunker was saying, not agree with him.

Trump is America’s middle finger in the sense that he stands for Americans and we say F the Establishment.

...And those who support Cruz do it in a nicer manner, with a smile. :)

Political and cultural activities
In addition to his success as a TV producer and businessman, Lear is an outspoken supporter of First Amendment and liberal causes. The only time that he did not support the Democratic candidate for President was in 1980.[23] He supported John Anderson because he considered the Carter administration to be “a complete disaster.”[23]

In 1981, Lear founded People For the American Way (PFAW), a progressive advocacy organization. PFAW ran several advertising campaigns opposing the interjection of religion in politics.[24] Lear has long been a vocal critic of the ideas held by the Religious Right and has advocated for the advancement of secularism...

Declare Yourself
In 2004, Lear established Declare Yourself, a national nonpartisan, nonprofit campaign created to empower and encourage eligible 18- to 29-year-olds in America to register and vote. Since then, it has registered almost 4 million young people and contributed significantly to the unprecedented turnout of young voters...

2015 Iran nuclear deal
Lear was one of 98 “prominent members of Los Angeles’ Jewish community” that signed an open letter supporting the proposed nuclear agreement between Iran and six world powers led by the United States. The letter called for the resolution of the bill, warning that the killing of the agreement by Congress would be a “tragic mistake”.

My parents wouldn’t let me watch a lot of the ‘marxist propaganda shows’ when I was growing up. I’m glad.

This whole Trump/ Cruz thing is like Thunderdome. And what really sucks is that both of them are providing ammo to the democrat who gets the nomination. Damn shame

It’s just a joke of symbolism. Trump smiles too just fine . But mess with him and he’ll mess you up 100 times worse. That’s the kinda guy I want as our president during these tumultuous times.

But this time around, the Dems are in the worse shape ever to even win the WH, considering the great damage that Obama has done.

This whole thing between Trump and Cruz is like March Madness right in politics, no more, no less.

And Cruz will have to prepare for the long knives that the Dems will bring out in regards to the “birth place issue” that would make what Trump has done look like a day at the beach.

The takeaway from the article — Lear hates the Tea Party and thinks that its much, much worse than Archie Bunker. He also has a huge ego and thinks that he’s still relevant today.

I've seen far more nastiness from the Cruz or lose gang than the Trumpeteers. It's despicable.

Far more.

And, so far, I prefer Cruz, although I must say the Cruzers have recently come close to changing that preference.

If Lear’s Latino family series goes forward, he won’t be able to resist adding a Trump-like antagonist character as an annoying neighbor or employer. No creative writer could ignore it. Art will imitate life.
This will happen whether Trump keeps on winning or bombs out in the primaries. Donald’s footprint on this election cycle has already been made in many ways.
