Is Sarah Palin about to endorse Donald Trump? An investigation.
The Washington Post ^ | Philip Bump

Posted on 01/19/2016 9:42:32 AM PST by The people have spoken

Flight TWY123 left Anchorage at about noon Alaska time and landed in Des Moines at around 8 p.m. Central. It appears to have been spotted by posters at the conservative site Free Republic before anyone else. And, for that audience, it suggested one thing: Sarah Palin was on her way to 2016.

Here is my prediction. Whichever team she endorses will say, she’s great, she’s brilliant, she is the greatest thing since sliced bread.

The team she doesn’t endorse will say, she’s nobody, she’s a has-been, nobody cares what she thinks.

For me, I have a great deal of respect for her. I would love it if she endorsed my guy, I have a feeling she’s going to go to my second choice. Either way, it would be fun to see her get back into the game.

I’m not looking forward to the bashing she will get from the team she doesn’t endorse.

Link goes to Bristol Palin’s blog.

Maybe not a stab in Cruz’s back. But, what is UP with that? Sarah built her brand on tease and tantalize as far as her intentions in 2008.

What’s her strategy here?

I didn't go to Harvard Law School, but I know this: You can like two people in a race, but there will only be one president.

I don't know. Hillary said that with Bill we got two for one. Wasn't that grand???/s

After hearing what Cruz is now saying about my mom, in a negative knee-jerk reaction,

What on earth has Cruz ever said negative about Sarah!?!?!?

FWIW-a Reuters news reporterette mentioned this morning at the Trump event said it was Palin. I talked to her in the lobby and she mentioned this to a few folks visiting.

You wanna know what is going to sink Cruz? Not Trump. Not Palin’s endorsement of Trump. Go over to the Right Scoop and the Trump Palin thread you will see things like....

“She will quit half way through his campaign”
“She’s been irrelevant last few years anyway”
“She quit her Governorship to work for Fox”
“I CANNOT STAND SARAH PALIN— she is a village idiot”

After reading some of these comments over there, Cruz’s supporters will sink Cruz. While they blather on about how much of a fearless conservative Cruz is, they forget a couple of months ago when Ted and they were simply ignoring Trump, not vetting him, and many of them, very many of them, we’re telling me they weren’t attacking Trump because Trump might win and make Ted his VP.So if they want to know who is partly responsible for Trump’s rise, it’s them.

Cruz communications director Rick Tyler unloaded on Trump during an interview on CNN’s “New Day” when asked if such an endorsement would be a “blow” to the Cruz campaign.

“I think it would be a blow to Sarah Palin, because Sarah Palin has been a champion of the conservative cause and if she was going to endorse Donald Trump, sadly she would be endorsing someone who’s held progressive views all their life on the sanctity of life, on marriage, on partial-birth abortion, he supported [the] TARP bailout — it goes on and on and on,” Tyler said.

“Donald Trump claims he’s changed all those views. But I think if it was Sarah Palin, let me just say I would be deeply disappointed,” Tyler added.

Sounds more like an attack to me. This is one that should be resolved today, one way of another. If Sarah endorses Donald, and Ted Cruz wants to have any chance at all he will shut Rick Tyler up. Remember, Sarah supported Ted Cruz for U.S. Senate where you can be any kind of citizen you want. Even dual citizenship with Canada doesn’t matter. Now Ted is running for an office that has a stricter citizenship requirement. May be Sarah has read the Constitution.

If I had to guess, I'd say that was Trump on the right.

[Cruz’s supporters will sink Cruz. ]

They already have for me. I was a Cruz all the way supporter at first B4 Trump came on board. Then I wanted Cruz as VP. I can’t stand Cruz now, thanks to people of the likes on FB and other social media.

I can’t post a pro-Trump article or post in either my personal FB page or the Tea Party group page I belong to without being attacked and name-called by rabid Cruz supporters. The same Cruz supporters that post articles and posts full of lies and BS (like the “Trump voted for Obama” tweet that was debunked) and lash out when you comment with a simple disagreement, or show evidence that is contrary to their post.

No matter how “liberal” people will think Trump is, people will flock to him after they receive their lashings from immature Cruz supporters.

The comments at the Compost article are brutal. I'll repeat what I said about this on last night's thread:

Trump very badly wants to win Iowa. Sarah was wildly popular there [in the run-up to 2012] and though I'm sure many have not forgotten that she didn't run, she drew huge numbers where ever she appeared. Trump sees her support (if it is indeed her) as crucial to turning the tide for him when caucus time comes in two weeks.

SARAH PALIN'S daughter Bristol would disagree with you. She posted this today:

Is THIS Why People Don't like Cruz? http://www.patheos.com/blogs/bristolpalin/2016/01/is-this-why-people-dont-like-cruz/ (Excerpt)

"After hearing what Cruz is now saying about my mom, in a negative knee-jerk reaction, makes me hope my mom does endorse Trump. Cruz's flip-flop, turning against my mom who's done nothing but support and help him when others sure didn't, shows he's a typical politician. How rude to that he's setting up a false narrative about her!

"America doesn't need that. We need someone who has a vision for economic prosperity, who won't let us get kicked around in the world, and who will fight for our future.

"I didn't go to Harvard Law School, but I know this: You can like two people in a race, but there will only one president.

"The audacity to suggest that because she chooses one over the other will somehow "damage" her just shows arrogance."
