ill Smith's old 'Fresh Prince' co-star is on the attack ... saying he and Jada Pinkett Smith are NOT the Obamas, and black Hollywood isn't gonna sing "we shall overcome" with them.

Janet Hubert, the original Aunt Viv, blasted Jada's anti-Oscars stance with a rambling video post that started ... "First of all, Miss Thang, does your man not have a mouth of his own with which to speak?" Hubert goes on to accuse the Smiths of being sore losers, and says there are way more important things going on in the world -- "Our boys are being shot left and right, people are hungry, people are trying to pay bills and you talking about some motherf***ing actors and Oscars."

I think Smith did a fantastic performance in "Concussion." I think he knows it, and I think he expected to get an Oscar for it.

There were definitely several Oscar worthy black performances this past year that weren’t nominated. “Beasts of no nation” was a tour de force performance by Idris Elba. Gorgeous cinematography also.

I suspect the lack of nominations is more inside baseball, rather than actual racism.

Seriously? Did you not see what I did there, get some coffee, reread the posts and see that I had some fun with DiogenesLamp altering their post with the removal of Smith and Concussion and the substitution of Hillary and Secretary of State. The subject in that post was Will Smith and I wouldn't want to wake up with either him or hitlary or sorry, Tea Leoni in my bed. I don't fantasize that way, not for forty years, I have what I want.

I listened to the video, and she made sense. She started talking to Jada P. Smith, and ended up talking to Will Smith, who did not say anything. In fact, she asked Jada if he was capable of speaking for himself. So I suspect, that there is some animus between them. I liked what she said, admire her courage to say it publicly, and appreciate that she realizes that Actors/Actresses exist to entertain. When you become political, people stop judging your acting, and start judging the actor. It has ended many a career. Just sayin....

Chi-Raq was awful, Samuel Jackson in H8ful 8 had the same attitude as every other SJ movie and Creed was just another Rocky sequel. And since when are Oscars given for cable movies like Beasts of No Nation? Good efforts, but I would not use the word “snub”. If you want more nominees, give black actors better roles.
