Sen. Bernie Sanders (I., Vt.) took a page from his "good friend" Donald Trump on Sunday by taunting his chief competitor about her flagging poll numbers.
"Let me talk about polling. As Secretary Clinton well knows, when this campaign began she was 50 points ahead of me," Sanders said at the Democratic debate in South Carolina.
"Guess what? In Iowa, New Hampshire, the race is [now] very, very close," Sanders said.
In recent weeks, Sanders has seen a surge of support from left-wing Democrats disaffected with Hillary Clinton and the Democratic establishment.
The socialist senator is polling ahead of Clinton in the critical early primary states of Iowa and New Hampshire, throwing a scare into the Clinton campaign.

yet, he’s perfectly OK with unions spending much more money than the banks do to buy elections or to unduly influence local politics to garner more and more money and power for public employees.
Does anyone doubt that he’d use ANY power within his means to control what people do and think? Is that in any way shape or form the USA?
Again, he loves his ideal, a communist ideal. . not the USA.
The scary thing is that while I think Obama is another true believer, I think that he had the good sense to hide his views for most of his life. Sanders thinks it is A-OK to flout them to the public and our brainwashed youth are eating it up... truly scary.
It is illogical to say that Sanders “loves” the US if his policies would enslave it’s citizens and destroy this country. It is like saying a parent loves his child while he is beating that child to death.
Let me try to say it another way. Do you regard Sanders as an honest broker of his vision?
If Sanders loved the US, he would not push for illegal aliens/Syrian invaders.
