According to Robert Costa at the Washington Post, it will air as part of a "coordinated six-figure" ad buy: The 60-second spot is part of a coordinated six-figure buy by affiliated groups that call themselves Keep the Promise and are backed by Cruz's biggest donors.
It comes hours after tensions between Trump and Cruz escalated when Trump told ABC's "This Week" that Cruz is a "very nasty guy."

Trump is a liar, a miscreant, and everything else!
Except Ted Cruz. Thankfully.

Cruz is still trying to use Trump to get headlines, never could on his own. Hope Trump ignores him totally, refuses to discuss him.
Let’s see how well Cruz does when he’s not dragging Trump into his campaign on an hourly basis.

Is it just me or has the Cruz bashing changed? Maybe I am worn out. There is not much logic. I don’t see facts.

It comes hours after tensions between Trump and Cruz escalated when Trump told ABC's "This Week" that Cruz is a "very nasty guy." "Nobody likes him. Nobody in Congress likes him. Nobody likes him anywhere once they get to know him. He's a very -- he's got an edge that's not good," Trump said.Juvenile. This is just one more example of Trump not bothering to think before he opens his mouth. The day before yesterday, it was his good friend Ted Cruz. Today Cruz is a very nasty guy. Tomorrow, what? Ted Cruz kills puppies and wants forced baptisms of liberals, atheists, Jews, and Muslims? And no matter what random nastiness Trump blurts out, his supporters don't seem to care.

Tump has no PACs like Cruz, so Trump hasn’t been bought and paid for lock, stock and barrel like Cruz has.

Is it just me is it that no one in congress likes Cruz is a good thing? As far as I know most people don’t hold congress in high esteem.

I think Trump can ignore the ad. If he's asked about it, say he has objection to Cruz using his (Trump's) statements, it's up to the voters to decide if Cruz is really a nice guy or not - that his (Trump's) opinion on that doesn't matter.
The doubts about Cruz being qualified under the constitution are a steady and powerful drag.

Damn proof reading, Tump can say he has NO objection. This politics, everything is fair game. It’s a fact, I think, that soundbites from any candidate can be used to endorse or undercut any other candidate.
