The Constitution does not say what country the president must be a natural born citizen of? Only that he must be a natural born citizen.

Wow! there really is no bottom for you Cruzers, is there.

Of course he can win. He had his ground game in place and operational long before some realized there was a need for such a thing.

No, Trump is exactly what Trump says he is.

Let's hook him up to a lie detector.

I have noticed an increase in the general nastiness, yes.

Do you really believe that your hands are clean in all this? Some of us believe you and your fellow travelers are the original instigator, just so you know.

Why did Cruz wait so long and why say it was a difficult process to renounce his Canadian citizenship when it was not? So was he a dual citizen as a sitting Senator and did not know it? This is very confusing.

Here are excerpts from the article. It just seems that if this were someone on the left who held dual citizenship and said he did not know it, it would cause a lot of people to pause regarding Cruz electability. I am pro Cruz, but prefer Trump as the next Commander in Chief. This issue will not hurt Trump. His crowds will only grow bigger.

*****************

Ted Cruz, Tea Party favourite, to renounce Canadian citizenship

U.S. Senator Ted Cruz vowed months ago to renounce his Canadian citizenship by the end of 2013. It’s now 2014, and the Calgary-born Republican lawmaker is still a dual citizen.

“I have retained counsel that is preparing the paperwork to renounce the citizenship,” the junior Texas senator, who’s eyeing a run for president in 2016, said in a recent interview with the Dallas Morning News.

He didn’t dispute holding dual citizenship: “Not at this point,” Cruz told the paper.

That’s confounding Canadian immigration lawyers. Renouncing Canadian citizenship, they say, is a simple, quick and straightforward process there’s even an online, four-page PDF form on the Government of Canada website to get the ball rolling without the help of lawyers.
Even though it’s precisely how the law works in the U.S., Cruz has said the news that he possessed dual citizenship came as a surprise to both him and his parents earlier this year.

The lawmaker insists his mother was told when he was a child that her boy would have to take affirmative action to claim Canadian citizenship.

“There was no reason to retain counsel to analyze Canadian law, because it wasn’t relevant to anything I was doing,” Cruz told the Dallas Morning News.

Kurland said he is skeptical.

“He’s a Harvard-educated lawyer so what’s the problem? It’s elementary.”

The number of Canadian citizens who renounce their citizenship annually is 200, according to government figures for 2010-2012. Many do so because some countries, such as China and Indonesia, don’t allow dual citizenship.

Ted sure forgets a lot. He forgot, he was a Canadian citizen, he forgot his loans, he forgot to Disclose Ties To Caribbean Holding Company.

This is hilarious! Bravo to the Cruz camp on this. I’m sure Trump can fire up a counter ad with Ted saying great things about The Don so it cuts both ways.

Just wait until Hillary plays the recording of Trump saying that Hillary would make a great president.

As long as you promise to go away when Trump loses Iowa.

I'd make that deal in a second if I thought you had a shred of integrity. But I've seen your posts over the last week, and heck just based on your posts in this tread, it's clear that integrity is not your thing.

Yup. I want DNA tests on all candidates and their parents. We don’t want to run the risk that one of these candidates might just be the illegitimate son of a British waiter or the captain of a French cruise ship. DNA TESTS!!!

You make the point well.

That is sad. Trump supporters can be nasty and I am sorry you got a nasty email. It is shameful. They are like their candidate - spew insults - its all most of them know to do (not all Trumpsters are like that). Dont let it get to you. Its not worth it.
