Trump was talking to Glenn Beck recently and said he‒d get rid of all of Obama’s executive orders (something Ted said long ago). When Beck asked him if that meant that he wouldn’t use EOs to govern, he said, “I’m just gonna do good ones.â€Â
You don’t do that to THE Donald and get away with it.
Trump tends to support the structure of Big Government. Unlike President Reagan, who knew that “government is not eh solution; government is the problemâ€Â, Trump doesn’t find government to be the problem, he simply thinks it’s being run by idiots (which is true as far as it goes.) He and his friends are going to run it better, not reduce it.
And we need to reduce it.
