That’s terrible. If you have the financial wherewithal to leave NY, would you use it as soon as possible? I’m financial stuck in MD for the time being, but can’t wait to leave.
I find it hard to believe that more victims of gub mint over reach don’t go after those miscreants who are in fact responsible.
All states have that power. It makes no difference what state you are in if you fall in trouble with the IRS. You should know that.

N.Y. Gay Rights Bill Passes

ALBANY, N.Y. — State senators passed a bill Tuesday that would outlaw discrimination against homosexuals in New York state, 31 years after advocates began lobbying for it.
The 34-26 vote put the Sexual Orientation Non-Discrimination Act (SONDA) a pen-stroke away from becoming law. The state Assembly approved the measure in January — as it has annually since 1993 — and Gov. George Pataki said Tuesday “I look forward to signing” the bill into law.
