Trump has said “the good ones” can come back after being deported. I say, there are no “good ones”! Anyone who sneaks across our border like a thief in the night, or deliberately overstays a visa, is not “good” and should never be allowed to come back into our country. I wish someone would tell Trump that. But none of the other candidates will, since THEIR plans are even worse than Trump’s! I’m still leaning toward Trump, since at least he promises to build a wall. But I wish he’d change his mind about the so-called “good ones.” Maybe someone like Ann Coulter can start hammering him on it.

You have a point, the term needs definition. (And Ann Coulter would be a good person to ask) But the real feature in all this is the question gets asked at all. We have been allowing unfettered immigration without asking what the reason for the entry since 1965. Having a relative already here is not (IMO) a good rationale for letting someone in. How about do we need the person for a job that needs doing? How about is the person going to go on free lunch? We have been experiencing immigration for all this time without a voice into the process. Here at last is someone who will supply the voice.

Yes, Trump will still need Congress, but this time he will be making the deal.

Actually, Cruz has proposed and even submitted legislation to the effect that anyone who has entered the country illegally can never become a citizen.
