I didn’t know that about _Hanna_; saw it (free).
While certainly not a bad movie, it was NOT something the general public would get excited about in large $$$. The story was emotionally straining, with lots of visceral violence ... not “fun” by any means.
_Hateful_8_ may very well be the same: good for what it is, but most of the general public has a limit to the visceral emotional strain they’re willing to pay for when seeking a fun couple hours.

I also saw it for free and thought it was pretty good. I still don't understand what the director was thinking by insulting so many of us.
