That kind of statement plays well when running in Texas, but may have been ill-advised to use on a national scale.
I don’t know. It would be interesting to learn how positively or negatively the reaction would be in the various 50 states to the terms “New York values” or “California Values” or such. My inclination is that it would be pretty slantedly negative, just based on anecdotes.
A lot of libs from those states have moved in to ‘flyover’ over country, bringing their liberalism with them, and led to a lot of really, really bad feelings.
