Do not pity me, I am a self made man and did not need a million dollar loan from daddy.

What name calling? You're a n00b; you haven't been here even 1/2 a year.

Then don't....see if I care. And many who live there, aren't REAL New Yorkers anyway...many have just moved there from FLYOVER COUNTRY ( and they are liberals ), more than should be are damned ILLEGAL ALIENS, and while there used to be many MORE Conservatives there, when I was growing up, many of them have died or moved. Still as I said, Staten Island is extremely Conservative.

Are you worth TEN BILLION DOLLARS? *SNICKER*

I know many self made men who did it all on their own. Good for you, but you're really not all that exceptional. LOL

As a CONSERVATIVE edx-pat New Yorker...you bet I am “defensive”, pissed off at Cruz, whom I ONCE SUPPORTED, and so are many other people I know.

He'll win N .Y., N.J., Pa, and perhaps several N.E. states as well.

Just...wow.

So many people on FR, who I thought, in the past, were well reasoned conservatives are now rabid, tunnel-visioned Trump fan-boys.

Is that all it takes? Loudly spout a few conservative platitudes?

Nobody cares about his hyper-liberal, past policy statements?

Nobody cares about his complete lack of strategic detail? (We'll just win everything! It'll be awesome!)

Nobody is worried about 3 supreme Court vacancies for the next president?

President Mountain-dew Camacho had more depth and conservative cred than this guy.

I'll vote for him if he's the nominee. My last bowel movement would make a better president than any of the Democrats.

However, I'm really disheartened to see all of the sycophants in full chimp mode in support of Biff Tannen, the dimwitted bully.

Cruz can’t win the general, but Trump can and he LOVES this nation and WILL do everything he can to make it great again!

People who have never been to NY are clueless, dumb, and too lazy to investigate before insulting the residents. They probably think Niagara Falls goes into the East River. They’d be shocked to know that ninety per cent of the state is rural, farmland, mountains, and forests.

No, not worth ten billion but neither is donnie. I did it with hard work, not using people, using other peoples money and using bankruptcy actions to hide failures. I do , however, know how to speak on a higher level than a 4th grader, am not narcisstic, do not have extra marital affairs and am still married to the same woman for 43 years and have not carried any debt for 25 years. All something donnie cannot say.

Look, I haven't changed at all, I'm still the Conservative I've always been and am no "fan-boy" or whatever else you care to call me.

Trump is for lower taxes, building up our now decimated and hobbled military, taking care of our vets, getting rid of government fraud and waste ( which also means a smaller government ! ), is VERY pro the 1&2 Amendments, and his favorite justices are Thomas and Alito, whom he'd like to find the likes of to nominate to SCOTUS. And he wants a wall, a huge wall, kick out ILLEGAL ALIENS and NOT let any Muslim "refugees" in. And enforce our laws!

Care to tell me what is "liberal" about all of that? And yes, he means all of that.

No presidential candidate has EVER laid out how he was going to do anything. Reagan spoke and spoke and spoke about the three things he wanted to do and NEVER once said HOW he's do them.

No offense, but I don't see anything special about being a New Yorker. My experience is that many are rude - my god, look at Trump, who is a walking stereotype of a New Yorker. My niece, who works down in the Daytona Beach area sees lots of New Yorkers in the winter time, has said often New Yorkers are the pushiest and meanest customers.

You people are who you are...you can't help it.

It makes no difference if Trump wins unless he is a CONSERVATIVE. And that fact is very much in question.

Absolutely ridiculous that Trump is trying to insinuate Cruz was in any away putting down 9-11 rescue workers or New Yorkers in general.

He (Cruz) explained exactly what he meant about NY values-pro abortion left wing elitist snobs- "Not too many conservatives come out of Manhattan." This was a direct response to Trump's "Not too many evangelicals come out of Cuba".

Then Trump goes into the whole 9-11 thing.

It would be like if you criticized me for "Hollywood values" , and I, as a life long Californian, responded by talking about the San Bernadino terror victims, and insinuated that you were insulting them.

It would be dishonest, thin skinned, and wrong for me to do that.

We all know what "Hollywood values" means.

What Trump did kind of reminded me of the early days of PC -when any liberal member of a minority group, or liberal woman, could instantly silence any discourse, by screaming "Racist" or "Sexist".

Surprising and disappointing coming from our number one anti-PC candidate.

Does Donald Trump really mean that anyone who criticizes NY liberal loopiness is attacking 9-11 victims and rescuers? Certainly hope not.

The NY comments did not go over well with the two Trump supporters I watched the debate with either.

They want Trump to stick to the issues-immigration and US winning again.

Trump and Cruz do best when they stay with the big picture. There's a reason the GOPe wants them fighting each other. It moves their guy up.

Really hope we can now get past all this petty stuff.

Trump doesn't have anything to worry about anyway. He's far ahead and has huge turnout at his rallies. Really don't understand why he needs to attack Cruz..unless he's not doing well in the polls? Just doesn't make sense.

Trump and Cruz are the only two candidates in the race.

Re the bankruptcies...there were only 4 of them, out of many hundreds of other deals and sometimes it's to a business' advantage to declare bankruptcy.

Whether or not he engaged in an adulteress affair, whilst married to Ivana, is up for grabs; however, Reagan did, when he was still married to Jane Wyman. Trump was divorced from Marla Maples, before he even met Melania.

Welcome to the no debts club...we NEVER have them, don't even like to have a mortgage and bought this house for cash.

Who cares. No conservative will win NY’s electoral votes anyway. Trump may win NY, but he is not a conservative. What about Obama talking about the bitter clingers in Pennsylvania at a San Francisco fundraiser. I thought for sure he would lose Penn. Well, as we know now, Obama won Penn. easily in 2008.

I thought that Cruz (who was my 2nd choice) was extremely cocky and snarky in this debate.

The evangelicals in Iowa always end up “worshiping” one candidate; I think it results in the candidate becoming insufferably arrogant. Huckabee and Santorum both ended up acting like that after spending months in Iowa being elevated to godlike status and 2008 & 2012. Weird.

Not that Trump isn’t arrogant; but he manages to pull it off in a funny and rather endearing way. Plus, he has enough accomplishments in his life to back it up.

There are many pockets of conservatives in NY - but, like most urban cities, they lean left. We have the same thing here in OH - our state is basically red, but, the larger, populist cities like Columbus, Cincinnati and Cleveland cancel out our votes in the national elections. At least they did the past 2. So, even in the larger cities, there are conservative values - so, Cruz’s attack was way off base. Some on here have a tendency to stereotype anyone from NY, just as Cruz did. I suppose those NY values were ok with Ted when he went to Trump beggin’ for money, weren’t they? These politicians are just like hookers.
