Powerball winning numbers announced, 1 winning ticket sold in Chino Hills, CA

DES MOINES, Iowa (AP) - Lottery officials have announced the numbers drawn for Wednesday night's record $1.5 billion Powerball jackpot.

The California Lottery did announce there is Powerball jackpot winner in Chino Hills, California. There could be other winners in other states.

Also, in Chula Vista a ticket was sold that matched 5 out of the 6 numbers.

Supposedly his name is Erik Braggadocio...and he bragged about his winnings by posting his pic - of him holding winning ticket - all over social media....if the pics are legit.

I played the numbers corresponding to the alphabet positions of the letters T-R-U-M-P 16, T-C-R-U-Z 16, and N-O-H-I-L 16, pretty much betting the farm on 16 as the Powerball.

I was so looking forward to the press conference of this new multi-millionaire (me) when someone would ask “how did you come to choose the winning numbers, whose birthdays were those?”

California does not tax lottery winnings. Bet they wish they did right now.

The winnings aren't vested until the check issues. They will probably pass emergency legislation indicating that Powerball winnings are taxable at a 25% rate. Governor Moonbeam will sign it.
