My conclusion - it is very close and their internal polls are bouncing around.
I’m with you! I agree with Cruz on quite a bit but his personality cringes me sort of like Mitt Romney creeped me out. And that voice! However, I will vote for him if he is the nominee. Hope its Trump.
If Cruz has the blessing of the Establishment, then BE CAREFUL Freepers.
The Establishment may be hoping that he knocks out Trump, and then they will pull the “Cruz is not qualified card” in order to sneak Rubio or Bush.
I guess the internal polling was showing some troubles ahead
for Cruz with his past approach.

Heck a smart man like Edward doesn’t need internal polling to see
trouble ahead. The plain ol’ polls shown on Real Clear Politics
should have been an awakening clue. He can win Iowa but he needs
to step it up for those primaries coming on down the road.
Cruz is Cruz is Cruz.
He may be able to pull this off. But it is 100% who he is that will make or break him.
Same with Trump.
Trump has been taking his shots for weeks not.
Cruz has decided it is time.
Fair enough. Iowa is about 2-3 weeks away. It had to happen sometime.
