Trump is a very smart man with lots of good ideas. But he reminds me of the schoolyard bullies I used to know who wouldn’t stop their bullying until you bloodied their nose.

1. March 23, 2015- THREE MONTHS BEFORE announcing that he was running for president

Donald Trump calls Ted Cruz’s Canadian birth a ‘hurdle’ as presidential candidate

http://www.nydailynews.com/news/politics/cruz-face-birther-questions-obama-article-1.2159586

2. Out of Cruz’s own mouth, in 2012, re eligibility (talking about 0bama)

Interviewer- What is your understanding of how one becomes a natural born Citizen?

Cruz- Two citizen parents and born on the soil.

Interviewer- Not exactly, but as I don’t have enough time to fully explain how one does become an natural born Citizen, based on your understanding, would you agree that Barack Obama is ineligible to be POTUS?”

Cruz- I would agree.

Interviewer- So when we get you elected, will you expose him for the usurping fraud he is?

Cruz- No, my main focus will be on repealing Obamacare.

Interviewer- But Mr. Cruz, if he is exposed as the usurping fraud he is, everything he has done will become null and void. Everything!

Interviewer- At that point, Cruz reiterated his main concern, so it was obvious the conversation was over as far as Cruz was concerned [snip]’

http://www.newswithviews.com/JBWilliams/williams300.htm

But wait, there’s more. The rest of the article goes on to say

‘’Sen. Ted Cruz was a legal citizen of Canada when he ran for and became a U.S. Senator, without ever having disclosed his Canadian citizenship to Texas voters, which under both Texas and U.S. Election law, is an act of fraud. Ted Cruz had committed election fraud by failing to disclose to Texas voters that he was a Canadian citizen in 2012.’’

I betcha there’s legal standing here- I would guess it’s the FEC. Or maybe David Dewhurst does. Or maybe it’s the citizens of the state of Texas. We’ll see what happens.

3. Further, the North American Law Center sent a letter to Cruz on December 18. 2013- asking that he reject running for president and use that opportunity to ‘’call for the resignation of Barack Obama’’ on the grounds that he, too, is not eligible to serve as president of the United States.

You can read that letter, in it’s entirety, here

http://northamericanlawcenter.org/call-honor-senator-ted-cruz/#.Vpa5dEvxXws

(Sorry about the aberrant characters. I got rid of others, but these were too stubborn. They don’t seem to detract from the readability of the transcript)

Mischaracterization. Cruz's remark concerned the name on the plane, not the plane itself.

Sure... sure, like how he also remarked about how he stayed in IA instead of flying back to a posh NY pad. Sure... Sure. Not even a nice try.

"I feel confident that I'm never going to have a plane with my name on it," he said at a church. "How do you run a grassroots campaign? It's very time intensive. It's labor intensive. You don't do it sitting back in the easy chair. You don't do it from a TV studio in Manhattan."

You got that right. Trump reminds me of the little kid that “takes his ball and goes home cause he can’t have it his way”

Where's the remark about the "posh NY pad"? I don't see it. That conveys a different meaning than "easy chair."

Cruz was absolutely right. Campaigns are won by getting out and doing the hard work on the ground. Trump is old and he's accustomed to his luxuries...it's easier not to bother.

Just having the question unanswered and in courts during the campaign against Hellary would suck the wind out of the campaign.

Both the Rinos and the Dems will go after him.

I think it would be cool to vote for an American, thru and thru. While Cruz may have been born in Canada, he IS an American citizen and every aspect of his life proves how “American” he is and that he respects the American way of life. Canada doesn’t even enter into it, except to those who want to continue to push the lame narrative that doesn’t hold water.

I never said that they shouldn’t know he was born in Calgary or McCain in Panama or Goldwater in AZ Territory or George Romney in Mexico, but ideally there are many things that they should know...

It’s not Alinksy, you say?

How many of the following does Trump do?

1. “Power is not only what you have, but what the enemy thinks you have.” Power is derived from 2 main sources – money and people. “Have-Nots” must build power from flesh and blood.

2. “Never go outside the expertise of your people.” It results in confusion, fear and retreat. Feeling secure adds to the backbone of anyone.

3. “Whenever possible, go outside the expertise of the enemy.” Look for ways to increase insecurity, anxiety and uncertainty.

4. “Make the enemy live up to its own book of rules.” If the rule is that every letter gets a reply, send 30,000 letters. You can kill them with this because no one can possibly obey all of their own rules.

5. “Ridicule is man’s most potent weapon.” There is no defense. It’s irrational. It’s infuriating. It also works as a key pressure point to force the enemy into concessions.

6. “A good tactic is one your people enjoy.” They’ll keep doing it without urging and come back to do more. They’re doing their thing, and will even suggest better ones.

7. “A tactic that drags on too long becomes a drag.” Don’t become old news.

8. “Keep the pressure on. Never let up.” Keep trying new things to keep the opposition off balance. As the opposition masters one approach, hit them from the flank with something new.

9. “The threat is usually more terrifying than the thing itself.” Imagination and ego can dream up many more consequences than any activist.

10. “The major premise for tactics is the development of operations that will maintain a constant pressure upon the opposition.” It is this unceasing pressure that results in the reactions from the opposition that are essential for the success of the campaign.

11. “If you push a negative hard enough, it will push through and become a positive.” Violence from the other side can win the public to your side because the public sympathizes with the underdog.

12. “The price of a successful attack is a constructive alternative.” Never let the enemy score points because you’re caught without a solution to the problem.

13. “Pick the target, freeze it, personalize it, and polarize it.” Cut off the support network and isolate the target from sympathy. Go after people and not institutions; people hurt faster than institutions.

In typical Trump supporting fashion, you ignore the facts and reality, in front of you. Wake up.

You’re just repeating what you said in your earlier post: “Class envy.” “Try again.”

You failed to address my point about your attempt to switch “easy chair” into “posh NY pad”, thereby conveying a different message.

You failed to address the fact that Cruz was speaking about hard work.

Shoot, you failed to address the questions earlier about why you believe Cruz is supported for his religion, and your apparent belief that only the super-rich donor-free “elite” should run for office.

But that’s exactly what your boy does, right? Stammer and dodge and throw some stuff to see what sticks.

It’s as transparent with you as it is with him. But I understand when you support someone like Trump, that’s pretty much all you’ve got.

“Rat tactics...real classy.”

Exactly...the Donald may be a great real estate tycoon and fair-to middling reality show actor, but he does not have a Presidential bone in his body. Coming up in the corrupt cesspool of New York business and politics; he’s the essence of an unscrupulous influence peddler...he even brags about it, “part of doing business”. I think every Trump supporter needs to ask if they think President the Donald will be willing to clean up the filthy system or will he simply partake in the bounty from the other side of the table? Maybe we truly need this thin-skinned slime ball to disinfect the reprobate shit house? However, I think there is a better way forward...Cruz!

Thanks for the link, hadn't seen that. From that article..

While Sessions, Cruz, and others on the outside like myself were fighting the worst immigration bill of our generation in 2013, Trump was promoting the Dream Act. When it really mattered he wasn’t with us
