Haley is trying to combine the polite, acceptable, stately version of the Southern accent (as opposed to the redneck accent that Hitlery! impersonates when addressing southerners) with the Long Island Lockjaw of the Northeast.
It’s supposed to make her sound intelligent and of a higher class than the rest of us, you know, so we all bow down to her and give her lots of power and prestige.

kind of hard to tell, but if Haley has a widow’s peak, and gets to be VP, she’d be sitting next to Paul Ryan this time next year, and the SOTU dais would look like a Munster’s episode.

She sounds about as tone deaf as the rest of the GOP establishment regarding illegals and the ‘angriest voices.’
But, then, she is another faux conservative who ran as a conservative and turned ‘moderate’ as soon as she got elected. And she was one of the many GOP governors who allowed the PC crowd to coerce her into doing something they have been trying to get done for decades — start removing everything Confederate from history.
She looked and sounded wooden.
