Ted Cruz Rejects Trump Plan for Mass Deportation Roundup
Wall Street Journal ^ | 1/10/16 | HARRIET TORRY

Texas Sen. Ted Cruz says he doesn't support sending forces to round up and deport illegal immigrants, likening such a policy to "a police state."

"I don't intend to send jackboots to knock on your door and every door in America, that's not how we enforce the law for any crime," Mr. Cruz told CNN in an interview broadcast Sunday.

It would only take one liberal federal judge to overturn numbers 3, 4, and 5 on your list.

The Trumpets are apparently OK with it though...

Gee Timber you are making me feel bad. Why can’t we do that? Oh I get it...that’s because Republicans don’t want to be considered mean. I guess the police can’t enforce laws against people that have kids in the home....should the police stop doing drug busts in the hood because of the optics?

The laws of our Republic...contraverted due to “optics”. That is how we earned the mess we have now. Compassionate conservatives are politicians who are afraid of looking too tough. We now know that we have exactly one person who will stand and defend following laws in the face of the leftists in the corrupt media. Sad.

Talking like a Lawyer, not much help there Ted. Those there ‘legally’ living near the border or have to work near the border may not see it that way. just saying

Sorry, but Trump isn't going to do this either, no matter how much "we" want it done!

Unless Trump uses "his phone and his pen" like the Tyrant Obama, which won't happen either because not only will the law allow him to do it but the same gutless GOPe cowards that are sitting on their hands and permitting Obama to do whatever he chooses regardless of the law, will stop him!

Trump, like Cruz, will use existing law to prevent all government $$$$ to so to illegals, he will enforce the eVerify to expel any illegals using fraudlent SS numbers to work, kick everyone in the Justice system out of the country and enforce police to report those illegals driving with or without licenses, to be reported to ICE and hopefully, those illegals traveling by airlines with fradulent IDs, to be stopped, just for starters!

Get back to me when Trump's "deportation force" kicks in your door looking for illegal aliens.

It seems that fascism has infected this board in the worst possible way.

Its not a random door to door search. It would be based on probable cause. Its enforcement is on the books.

"What the heck is a "a deportation force...it calls to mind the Gestapo...who went door-to-door seeking Jews..."

Please post right back to me what comes to your fertile mind when you hear the words on your local television, "our police force"

I shall await.

Exactly right...and the trumpeters better come to grips with the fact that trump won’t do it either....because as soon as that image goes over the air, Americans everywhere will get all weepy eyed over it....and the media will fan those flames ever hotter.

Get back to me when Trump’s “deportation force” kicks in your door looking for illegal aliens.
______________

The force that was employed was small. Don’t be fooled...the most effective thing that Eisenhower did was to change out the corrupt folks who had overseen the border.

“During the 1950s, however, this “Good Old Boy” system changed under Eisenhower – if only for about 10 years.

In 1954, Ike appointed retired Gen. Joseph “Jumpin’ Joe” Swing, a former West Point classmate and veteran of the 101st Airborne, as the new INS commissioner.

Influential politicians, including Sen. Lyndon B. Johnson (D) of Texas and Sen. Pat McCarran (D) of Nevada, favored open borders, and were dead set against strong border enforcement, Brownell said. But General Swing’s close connections to the president shielded him and the Border Patrol, from meddling by powerful political and corporate interests.”

He used a small force’’’’

“President Eisenhower cut off this illegal traffic. He did it quickly and decisively with only 1,075 United States Border Patrol agents – less than one-tenth of today’s force. The operation is still highly praised among veterans of the Border Patrol.”

Randomly kicking down doors was not the hallmark of this operation. Those are Bill O’Reilly’s words, not Trumps.

We shouldnt have to round them up. Make it impossible to get a job or find a place to live and they will leave on their own. Throw a few employers and lanlords in jail and watch how quick they get their keesters out.

The laws say illegal immigrants MUST BE DEPORTED.

Of course randita & his comrades are pushing for amnesty to illegals by giving them a path to legal status. That is what their cheap labor express pushing candidate wants.

Do not believe me, listen to the candidate himself, in a formal congressional venue. This is NOT a surreptitiously recorded sound bite like they pulled on Romney about the 27% comment. This is OFFICIAL VIDEO!

[enforce the laws]

That requires roundup and deportation. Otherwise allowing the illegals to stay is a form of Amnesty!

That's IT!

Enforce the law (read Simpson/Massoli 1986 Law for starters, that's what Congress passed to ensure Reagan's amnesty was a 'one time only' thing that would never be repeated)'on the books and not only do you not need any "immigration "reform" act, you also don't need federal agents knocking on doors, showing up at schools or doctors offices, grabbing illegals in churches worshipping, giving the bleading hearts (but mostly media in favor of open borders so they can continue to have their cheaper nannies and yard guys) turn the public away from enforcing the law!

One major thing that can turn the tide is seeing HR heads, COOs, Dept. heads marched out the door wearing handcuffs for knowingly hiring illegals instead of American citizens, namely the white and black guys who are on unemployment thanks to corporate heads, boards and others shrinking the bottom lines to look good for Wall Street.

The fact that man HR departments have taken to look to "independent contractors" to fill their ranks, keep the dirty hands far from the front office, doesn't help much and the fines, if companies are caught, are barely a blip on the bottom line, doesn't help much but if stiff and swift jail sentences with no plea bargains, might deter some. However, running weekly roundups of those responsible for hiring illegals and showing these companies on the nightly news, sure could help.

We already have proof that mere ICE or the former INS agents showing up makes illegals scatter. That and no more companies operating employment offices south of the border, will go a long way toward deterance. The term "self deport" really is true for many but the most hardened cases. Then agents can knock on fewer and fewer doors!

Every last one of them should be kicked out and never allowed to return, any others attempting to cross should be shot on site.

Its that simple.

We make it far too easy for them to get by with coming here illegally. Enforce the laws that we already have. With no sanctuary cities, hefty fines for hiring someone that is here illegally, and severe penalties for identity theft, their jobs will dry up and there will be zero incentive to stay here. Oh, and let me add “no anchor babies” to my list. All babies born in the US have the same legal status as their parents. Overstay a visa and you will be deported and never let back in. Secure the border to know and control who comes and goes. We’ve got no telling how many in our jails as we speak, no need to round them up. Just send them back but it won’t do any good unless the border is secure. I just think there is a lot that can be accomplished without going door-to-door and that is not the same as saying that amnesty is OK.
