I appreciate you telling me what you think. It is informative. I do ask that you refrain from telling me what I think. You are off the mark. Obviously if they understood about human nature it was because they knew it both from the inside out and the outside in. It does, however, take some reflection. Trump is nothing like them. He has made big bucks off casinos. So did a bunch of famous Italians, so I hear. I never heard anyone attribute their cunning financial successes to being like the Founding Fathers.

Should. But it goes back to what I harp on. Who is going to do it? We have no one of principle in office because we had other priorities. Well about literally 5 or 6. But the rest will protect their own.

I don’t see any path to charging, much less convicting any of them.

Lots of luck with your snide, supercillious comments/ideas about Trump.

Casinos, you say? LOL

Trump has built more hotels, apartment buildings, resorts, and golf clubs, not to mention two ice skating rinks that he did out of the goodness of his heart ( yes, he does make money from them, but that's besides the point ) for NYC!

Man never changes, only technology changes. Know factual history...you know mankind! What's so "special"/unusual about that?

You forget that that ear, when the FFs lived was part of the so0called "AGE OF REASON",most were very well educated; though not all of them.

Trump went to good schools, did well in them, is well educated, well read, and thoughtful.

Many of the FFS were extremely wealthy, some weren't. Jefferson was a shopaholic, a dandy, a spendthrift who also expected his friends to pay his bills and get him out of trouble of his own making.

Adams ( who is one of my favorites ) was somewhat testy, grumpy, brilliant, and madly in love with his wife as long as he lived.

Franklin was a roue, led a louche life, was a TERRIBLE husband and a worse father, who LOVED being "famous", in "society", and rather enjoyed pretending that he was sort of the "wild man" that the French and English society ladies thought he was.

Hamilton ( who is also a favorite of mine ) was brilliant, someone whom Washington used as a right hand man, but was a bit naive, easily led down the garden path by a woman, and hot tempered.

I say that Trump is like the FFs because of his willingness to give up so much to try to "save" the nation which he loves. He also truly loves the American people; it is NOT an "act"!

My reasoning is spot on!

What part of my FACTUAL, warts & all, post are you arguing with? Did I lie about anything? Did I exaggerate?

Hows about when president, Jefferson got cold feet after we had bought out the French territories re the LOUISIANA PURCHASE and wanted to quash the deal. DUMB, DUMB, EXTREMELY DUMB! Thankfully he was talked down off that ceiling and we kept what we had bought.

Want more TRUE stories about Jefferson? You won't like them!

There are a lot of TRUE crazy stories about Franklin to;. though he held no elected office.

Burr was a real SOB and why we now elect a ticket and the person who gets the second most votes doesn't become the VEEP!

Madison was good, but had sort of a Napoleon/short man complex. His wife was GREAT, though. :-)

This is just to say that EVERY human has defects/warts; nobody is perfect and some have feet of clay up to their eyeballs.

Yes, I'm loyal and VERY persistent in my stand on Trump and with VERY good reason. I don't try to tear down others ( well, jebbie and a few others deserve my condemnations ), I post facts and why I stand with Trump.

This perfectly encapsulates why the NY Times is failing. ‘Mounting fears’ among whom? Millions welcome the split and think it is about time.
