I did not know they integrated that far back. I think the concept of boundaries has been lost for many young adults. Females are more likely to put themselves in harms way. When you have a hook-up culture “no” may be a hard message to get across.

I raised two daughters. The youngest graduated from college last year. The other daughter was a year ahead of her. My eldest worked as an EMT during her college years.

The horror stories we heard from them about the drinking and hook ups was eye opening to say the least. I know my girls are not perfect, and I am confident they know how to drink. But neither of them ever got into the hookup culture.

I have no doubt that is part of the problem. But having been a young man in a military college I was trained to control my emotions, and be responsible for my actions. It takes two to tango.

No meant no then, and it means no now. Women have the right to say No. These men are not so out of control they can’t stop and come up with an alternative solutions.
