..... It is quite ironic and telling that the RNC ..... does an autopsy on their losses instead of trying to learn and focus on their gains and successes.

.... Guess they just like to poke at dead things.

He just ‘gave up’......he struck out once about Benghazi - once, and got gobsmacked by the press and he never came back.

The worms inside the beltway cocoon have decided that the entire US electorate is exactly stable, except for Ohio, Pennsylvania, and Florida. Thus, the only way Republicans can win the presidency is to nominate a mushy moderate who will attract a few Hispanics and Blacks from those three states and win the elections there. This is a near perfect strategy, just ask John McCain, Mitt Romney, Bob Dole, Georges Bush. It's nearly perfect, since they all nearly won.

Only a few stupid idiots like Don Trump, Ted Cruz, Ron Reagan and the TEA party, who want to win the entire US, don't understand how great this strategy really is.

I am proud to have refused to vote for Romney who would have been no better than Obozo on anything unless you are a plutocrat or a trust fund baby. Romney gave us NOTHING as a candidate. ay the blame where it belongs on the GOP-E for BUYING the nomination for spineless unprincipled leftist social revolutionary, gun-grabbing, pervert encouraging, militarily clueless Willard. Nominate another Romney and it will happen again and again and again and again..... Rinse and repeat as often as necessary until the spineless little cowards of GOP-E get the message once and for all. The Senate and House are next.

As we look around he world and the creation of ISIS, as we see what is happening on college campuses because of Obama, as we see Obama use executive orders to make law with the stoke of a pen, as we see Iran developing nukes -— you say that Romney would have been no better than Obama on anything. That’s just nuts.

I didn’t want Romney. I hate what the GOP has become and that it will not fight for that in which I believe, but there is a time to make a stand. It was not allowing Obama to have a second term. Look around -—— that was national suicide. The entire world is blowing up. An angry man, who grew up hating America, was given another four years to destroy it. He is destroying business, fomenting black anger, allowing an invasion from the south, bringing in Muslims in unprecedented numbers, and has made our allies no longer trust us or enemies fear us. The Muslim Brotherhood is helping shape his policies. Yeah, Romney would have been just as bad.

Again, I am as angry as you. But I am not allowing that anger to cloud my evaluation of what is happening in my country and in the word. We would have been fighting Romney every day on policy. Elected officials, albeit not large in numbers, on our side would have fought him.

Despite being so wrong on so many issues, Romney actually believes in the Constitution and loves his country. Obama does not.

What is really ironic is that conservatives are supporting Trump. Why, because the future of the republic is at stake because of what Obama has done. Trump is no true conservative but I want my country saved.

We obviously disagree on this Romney business (and Ryan-o as well). When I vote, I care enough to vote for my very best. In 2012, I voted for Santorum in the Illinois primary and for Eternal Vigilance in the final election. Obozo is unquestionably bad news and so is ANYTHING named Romney and particularly Willard. 2012 was the first election for POTUS since I started voting in which I refused to vote for the GOP. I ain't coming back unless and until the Gop-E gargles quarts of sulfuric acid, gets the hell out of the way of actual patriots and conservatives and dies. I lust to hear their blood-curdling screams of excruciating pain. I will vote in GOP primaries for non-barbarians and if barbarians are nominated nonetheless, the GOP can go straight to hell.

Words cannot describe just how much I hate, loathe and despise these brainless greedheads of the GOP-E and the Romneys most of all I take you at your word that you voted for that absolute evil in GOP drag. That leads me to conclude that you cannot possibly be aywhere in the same universe as I when it comes to anger at these despicable soulless greedheads. AND, another proof is your concern that Obozo is destroying business. Maybe, if business does not want to be tortured ad destroyed, they can learn to take an appropriately subordinate position to actual conservatives and do what conservatives tell them to do instead of using their infernal $$$$$$$ to nominate garbage like Romney.

Your second paragraph is utterly ironic. Not one issue you name gives Romney ANY ADVANTAGE WHATSOEVER. He is only better for the corporate greedheads and the trustfunders. If anything, I want them to suffer as the likes of Romney have made blue collar workers and military veterans suffer. So, YEAH, ROMNEY WOULD HAVE BEEN AT LEAST AS BAD! And would have destroyed any hope for the GOP as a party opposed to the leftist agenda.

I retain a high degree of respect for you because of your efforts on other matters on FR. I will NEVER, however, agree with being so panicked by ANY DEMONRAT and respond by voting for GOP-E in "Republican drag." Read Thomas Edsall's very fine NY Slimes op-ed which appeared yesterday (Thursday) on Real Clear Politics and explained very well why Trump and Cruz are doing so well. Edsall's a definite liberal but an honest and perceptive one. He clearly understands what you apparently do not.

God bless you and yours!

IT’s more than just that, and you touched a little on it. Like with Reagan, everyone seemed to identify with regardless of their background. YOu see that with Trump.

He attracts college smart Black Americans along with the street smart ones who like him because they admire and trust a successful person. IF Trump wore a gold tooth and huge fur he’d garnish probably 90% of them. I think the Black Americans like him also, because he’s tough on immigration.

The Hispanics like him somewhat for the same reason, but mostly because the vast majority are patriotic Americans who call themselves Americans first and Hispanic second. They don’t want the gangs here either.

The Blue collar guy on the street in Manhatten loves him because he sees himself in Trump as does the white collar guy on Wall STreet.

Conservatives pick out the conservative in him, and the moderates out the moderate, eg when he says, “I want to take care of everyone.” I’m a doctor, and I can tell you, everyday I see men and women who have no insurance, badly in need of basic health care, and no doctor will see them. These are people, who cannot help themselves, trust me they can’t. These are people we need to help. Obamacare has abandoned them completely.

Military, police and firefighters like him for obvious reasons, and I would wager that the Hollywood types do too, why, because he knows them all, and has been good to them.

WE are watching before our eyes, Folks, something really special going on. He’s on a mission. He’s fearless and relentless. He’s a true patriot.

I’ve watched just about every rally, the book signing, the interviews, and NOT ONCE have I felt that he is trying to BS us. I think he is sincere.

He is an American that is from the America our fathers and grandfathers remember. He reminds me of a young Cassius Clay bragging that he was going to win, also of my home town guy Mike Ditka who came to Chicago and said we were going to win the Super Bowl, and he did.

Politician, parse their words. He doesn’t. Hannity asks him, wouldn’t taking no 2 o 3 in Iowa be good. He could have said the politically correct thing, that, “well, coming in second wouldn’t be bad,” so as to avoid the obvious fall out from the press that, “since you didn’t take first, YOU LOST!”

No, Trump says, I want to win, and I think I’m going to win. I WANT TO WIN!!!!
