The article says this:

Al Hardan entered the United States as an Iraqi refugee on or about Nov. 2, 2009. He was granted legal permanent residence status on or about Aug. 22, 2011, and resides in Houston.

Does this mean he was granted US citizenship? Does he have citizen's rights?

no, not automatically, but if you go to the State department site, you’ll see that “refugees” can apply for citizenship after 5 years!

JUST NOT RIGHT!!!!!
