I think they will come around. Eventually I see western Europe having battles like Ukraine did, except it will not be citizens vs. police, it will be citizens vs. muslims. They will fight medieval looking battles with improvised weapons. At first the police will try to stop it but when they are attacked they will just withdraw and let people fight it out.
