Posted an article from the Oregonian last week warning about this and explaining about the Hammond case, but the moderators zotted the post right away? Hopefully it ends well with no bloodshed, but it is drawing national attention. The Federal government had no reason to retry the Hammonds as terrorists and send them back to jail for an additional 5 years for a crime that was never arson. Absolute insanity for the federal government to get way with this injustice!

Playing devil’s advocate ... If it was not arson, then why did a jury convict them of arson? From what I have read, there were issues of alleged poaching (feds admitted there was no “evidence” of such remaining following the supposed arson) on so-called federal land ... So was the jury wrong or misled? What is the truth regarding the alleged hunting party incident - and the resultant fire, to which these two were accused of purposely starting so to cover up their poaching of deer?

Moreover, it appears that the testimony given against them was by members of the very hunting party they were leading. Smells like the feds cut a deal with them ... I suspect that something else is afoot here. Is there motive for the feds to have designs on the Hammond Ranch?
