Ranchers who used BLM land for their livestock would intimidate hunters, stating they were on private land. The advent of GPS stopped that nonsense. We have a friend who was hunting on BLM land, a rancher told him to leave because it was private property. Our friend showed him his GPS, told him he was full of it and to call the sheriff. the rancher knew he lost that fight and left. I think these ranchers who use public land think it is theirs, however, it belongs to all of us.

Not the first time I’ve heard that story.

Until it is in private or state hands you are correct, however by being in the hands of the BLM it is benefiting very few and the cost is being born by you and I the taxpayers.
