'Bring your guns and come': Militiamen including Cliven Bundy's three sons take over

A group of militiamen on Saturday occupied the headquarters of a national wildlife refuge in Oregon in support of two brothers who are slated to report to prison on Monday on arson charges - and the protesters don't plan on leaving any time soon, saying it's 'kill or be killed' time.

Militia members claimed to have as many as 150 supporters with them at the Malheur National Wildlife refuge building in Princeton, which is federal property managed by the US Fish and Wildlife Service that was closed for the holiday weekend.

They later rescinded the number and said they would not disclose how many people were in the building, because of 'operational security'. Local reporters have said that there only appears to be a dozen cars outside of the building.

'We're planning on staying here for years, absolutely,' Ammon Bundy, one of the occupiers, told the Oregonian via telephone. ‘This is not a decision we've made at the last minute.'

Ammon Bundy and his brother Ryan, who is another occupier, are the sons of of Nevada rancher Cliven Bundy, who was involved in a 2014 standoff with the government over grazing rights.

The occupation came shortly after 300 marchers paraded through Burns, Oregon, about 50 miles away, to protest at the prosecution of father and son Harney County ranchers Dwight Hammond Jr and Steven Hammond, who were ordered returned to prison by a federal court which ruled their original sentences were insufficient.

Deferring to Fedzilla on every opinion is defending rights.

Gotcha.

Hey everyone, Dusty Road’s got your back. As long as you don’t argue with the BLM. They’re always right.

“Took over the ranches or purchased the ranches? If I remember correctly they were sold.”

The ranches were pressured into selling by Fed interference with water and land access—do your research. It’s a pattern repeated over and over again by the Feds.

Trav is right. A stand down is in order. Not sure how to accomplish it.

This hints at what I’ve been saying about people analyzing candidates for president last year: They will be fighting each other in the 2016 political environment, not the 2015 environment.

2016 is going to be VERY different - worldwide.

It will be even more like “living in an action movie”.

IOW, “It Starts.”

Whats to argue about it’s their land and they set the rules. Here’s an idea genius, don’t get into a lease with the federal government ever, never become dependent on someone else.

I’m confused.

If civil war is inevitable, why are we against the spark?

There can’t be any “stand down.” The tools, morons and provocateurs will have their drama.

But we don’t need to run into a federal shooting gallery patsy operation like fracking suicidal lemmings.

THIS IS A FEDERAL PATSY OPERATION. DON’T BE A PATSY.

Amen, bro. I see elements of 1860, 1914, 17, 29, 39, 68 and 2001 at play.

Buckle up, it’s going to be a wild ride. But it will be worse in Europe.

SHEESH, ARE YOU FOR REAL?????

This isn’t the “spark,” this is a contrived federal PATSY OPERATION.

Don’t be a PATSY. Don’t be a STUPID LEMMING who dives head first into a spinning blender, a blender set up and turned on by our enemies!

Under OTrauma, he will use any and all things, including martial law and nuclear weapons. We need to wait out the last 382 days.

You are assuming there will be elections, I am not.

No electricity, no elections. I can think of about 20 paths that lead to lights out by November. For Obama’s inner circle, the lights will NOT go out. For them, it will be an ideal situation. “The worse, the better” in Lenin’s words.

You need to get sharyl Atkinson involved in this if you want to get any mileage on this. The drive-bys will spin this way out of control and our side will lose again.

Yes. I’ve said for years that regarding Islam, Europe is our canary in the coal mine. I honestly did not think they would be stupid enough to allow so many military aged men in from the middle east at one time.

Lunacy. They remind me of those people on the roof of a building in “Independence day” with the “Welcome to earth” posters.

And right off his vacation, Obama fires a shot across the bow.

We have a wild year comin’.

Only one point in your post that I disagree with: “ My initial reaction was to observe that at least afterward we’ll know who the federal snitches are because they will be the only ones who survive the raid to take back the building.”

The provocateurs may find out that they are more expendable than they thought.

That was Mike V’s in comment that I posted, it was not my opinion about the provocateurs walking away alive.

I agree with you, the moron yahoo provocateurs who think they are going to get a gold star from the feds when this is over are actually going to be center-punched through their foreheads to seal their lips forever.

How about you just post your evidence instead of making claims. How could they be pressured into selling if they owned the water and the land? Most likely they leased grazing and water rights and when you do that there’s always a risk of it being shut off. If you’ve set yourself up to be dependent on someone else your a fool. I’m starting to see that there’s very few here that even have the simplistic understanding of ranching and what it takes to survive at it. Like I said before we’ve had this place for over 100 years, never borrowed against it, never leased and damn sure never depended on anybody else. The land only provides so much and you have to stay within it’s means. We have limited grazing and water so we run a limited amount of cattle (here it’s 18 head per square mile, 22 on a good year). If we wanted to run more we’d have to lease both grazing and water and that would put us under somebody else rules something I would never allow.
