'Bring your guns and come': Militiamen including Cliven Bundy's three sons take over

A group of militiamen on Saturday occupied the headquarters of a national wildlife refuge in Oregon in support of two brothers who are slated to report to prison on Monday on arson charges - and the protesters don't plan on leaving any time soon, saying it's 'kill or be killed' time.

Militia members claimed to have as many as 150 supporters with them at the Malheur National Wildlife refuge building in Princeton, which is federal property managed by the US Fish and Wildlife Service that was closed for the holiday weekend.

They later rescinded the number and said they would not disclose how many people were in the building, because of 'operational security'. Local reporters have said that there only appears to be a dozen cars outside of the building.

'We're planning on staying here for years, absolutely,' Ammon Bundy, one of the occupiers, told the Oregonian via telephone. ‘This is not a decision we've made at the last minute.'

Ammon Bundy and his brother Ryan, who is another occupier, are the sons of of Nevada rancher Cliven Bundy, who was involved in a 2014 standoff with the government over grazing rights.

The occupation came shortly after 300 marchers paraded through Burns, Oregon, about 50 miles away, to protest at the prosecution of father and son Harney County ranchers Dwight Hammond Jr and Steven Hammond, who were ordered returned to prison by a federal court which ruled their original sentences were insufficient.

How much are they paying to lease the land? That is my question. If they are paying a huge amount, I would understand that they would want the BLM to help maintain it. If they are receiving grazing rights for a steal, then to expect the US taxpayers to maintain the land is a bit much.

Don’t do anything... Ever...

Waco, Ruby Ridge, Carl Drega, Bundy Ranch, Elian, Heemeyer, and hundreds of others we never even heard about...

Turn in your guns. Turn off your computer. It’s over...

About 20 bucks a head per year as opposed to 75 to 150 a head on private land.

I saw it posted on here a number of times in the past that the Feds want to clear out the ranchers and people on Government owned land. I have also read on here about them harassing gold mine owners to the point that it wasn’t worth it to remain in business since the muslim began occupying the White House. One of the reasons that they wanted the ranchers and others gone is because of U.N, Agenda 21. They may be others, I don’t know. But what I do know is that when the call to turn in your firearms and ammunition to the Government Agents, those on here [this forum, FreeRepublic.com] that are railing against these people will be railing against those who refuse to disarm themselves. The same words and phrases that are used to describe those in Oregon will be used to describe those who refuse to surrender their guns and ammunition by the same posters that are railing against these guys. Quislings never change.

Bro, we are so totally on the same side. You know that.

But these are just isolated incidents, YEARS apart, and if we overreact to these, WE are the ones who look like the bad guys.

We are totally on the same side on OTrauma and his lawless occupying army, right?

That said, I am just plain NOT WITH THIS. Here's why:

I think there's a tipping point, where OTrauma just starts going full-Stalin. I don't think we are there yet, notice how delicately he's treading on his gun control Executive Order tomorrow. It's basically a tiny measure -- proported to be background checks if the seller sells 25 guns a year -- and he had his people research it for MONTHS before deciding to proceed.

Comes a time he won't be so careful or delicate. That's when we know the balloon went up.

That, or any electric or communication grid-down scenario. Either of those.

This particular deal is just unwise.

My thoughts also, but I suppose that they are old enough to know what they are doing. I am not screwing the dog, nor am I holding its head while someone else does. I am just watching and making observations. Because this is how things will play out when the Government decides that the time to confiscate all private owned firearms and ammunition comes.

No. It isn’t wise. It isn’t the right time. These aren’t the right folks to back.

And they never will be. There will always be doubt. Cross-talk. Misinformation. Provacateurs. Not a lot, just enough to keep the doubt there...

We’re done. It’s over...

I don’t personally know of anybody whose sells 25 guns a year that isn’t a licensed FFL dealer. I’m not even sure how you would track it without making all sales go through a dealer and disallow all private sales. Without knowing who already has what how would they know a sale has even taken place. I’m curious as to the wording and the details.

I have mixed feelings about this. If there was no BLM land in Wyoming, then my freezer would be empty. My husband hunts antelope on BLM land in Wyoming. BLM gives the rest of us hunting access. Private ranchers generally in Wyoming charge thousands of dollars to hunt their private ranches. If what you say is true about how much they are paying, then they should not expect the BLM to maintain the land at a loss , which us taxpayers have to pay for.
How the BLM obtained the land is another question. If private property was stolen, then that is a concern. If these people squatted on the land for years, and did not pay for it ,then that is another concern. If the BLM took away their permit rights, that land was not the ranchers to begin with.
All I know, BLM land helps the rest of us Americans have access to hunting lands, which private ranch lands do not allow, or allow at huge cost.

And that’s exactly what the BLM is suppose to do, everybody gets to use it. All (98%) of the hunting in TX is private land and yes the prices are so high few get to enjoy. The BLM ranchers have had a sweet deal for a long time and it makes it very difficult for those of us that have to pay much higher fee’s to compete.

It sounds like double jeopardy, which is unconstitutional. I think these guys would have lawyers.
