We could probably trust every FRiend with a full auto weapon. But should we trust mullahs to own nuclear warheads? Or rocket launchers?

You say, ‘it’s not a problem’, but respect for the Constitution collapsed with Teddy Roosevelt. He passed legislation to create national parks.

That was unconsititutional. Rather than amend the Constitution for parks, Teddy legislated it.

The same happened with gun control. Most court opinions regarding gun control are byzantine nightmares to justify their desire for public safety. Our judges do not respect the 2nd Amendment to be intrepreted strictly, and the call for originalist interpretation is a tough sell compared to the ‘breathing document’ tripe.

Exactly. The Establishment exploits convoluted interpretations of court precedents. Once the ‘supreme’ court issues its theocratic decree, lawyers and politicians bow and scrape.

Why?

Because Constitutional interpretation unravelled.

We should all be allowed single-fire weapons with large clips or even drums. Tax free guns and tax free ammo. I’m all for that.

With enough citizens, one squeeze of the trigger is enough to take on any military ... but only if enough of us subscribe to Soldier of Fortune magazine.

But if we demand the right to drive around in Abrams Tanks, walk around with tommy guns, and purchase nuclear warheads for our attics, the average voter would laugh at us.

At some point public perception needs to dovetail with the Constitution.

The argument for regulating full automatic weapons is as void as is the argument for regulating any other small arms. Free, law-abiding people should not be prevented from owning small arms.

Israel and Switzerland do not restrict people from owning full-automatic weapons and they’re doing fine.

I’d bet that .308 can go through those bright blue helmets.

338 with US Optics riding on top. Took a while but finally got the ammo dialed in

Must be nice to have access to a long-range range. I’m a little chomping at the bit to try a longer range for the FN SCAR I have in .308.

Look around on the net for long range clubs or instructors. One group that comes to mind that puts on training and shoots is LRI (Long Range International). They used to do it in Wyoming and Texas. There are many like them around.

Also if there are events in your area out to 600 or 800 meters start making them as a spectator. You will meet up with shooters and pretty soon get invites. One thing about long range shooting, people like to compete with others.

Good luck.

I wish Florida had a Governor like that.

Actually, I think that if he did that, it would be a blessing in disguise. Many people have told me that they have absolutely no qualms shooting every blue helmet they they see and the head in it.

“Israel and Switzerland do not restrict people from owning full-automatic weapons and they’re doing fine.”

That is impressive. Well done!

But I personally don’t trust many of the godless households in our nation, not to mention our loosy-goosey immigration policy allowing terrorists in the US. Until we put God back in most schools, morality will continue to erode.

We aren’t Switzerland — a wonderful haven of sanity last I heard, and as I understand it our counter-terror methods are nothing like in Israel.

And we also need more freedom to use affordable NON-lethal weapons.

Boys and girls: FLASH: There IS NO gun show loophole, NOR any internet gun loophole. The VERY SAME laws apply there as apply anywhere else. Obama’s dictates can be LEGALLY IGNORED. He might get the DOJ to engage in selective, malicious, vindictive prosecution of people not in any way subject to BATFE jurisdiction, but he won’t get a SINGLE conviction.

Funny thing. The original Goliad cannon wasn't that big or impressive a piece of ordnance.

But it stood for something.

Is the civil war here? Was last year 1859 like some of us thought?

Maybe. No. More like 1918 in Finland.

And I have seen those bright blue helmets in action.

Me too. Their aviators are not particularly precise about where they lay their eggs.

They would be hamburger before the end of the first day.

Not to worry, They have a whole lot more where the first wave came from.

***Please FReepmail me or reply here, if you'd like to be added to the Texas state ping list.***

Indeed, I would, and I'd 'preciate it, being farther from Cleburne than I like. This here's the reply, and I'll FReepmail you as well.

Long Live Free Texas!

IOW, does the owner possess live ordinance that he is able to load and fire from those tanks?

No, *ORDINANCE* is laws or local regulations. *ORDNANCE* is military hardware or that support arm of the service which maintains, repairs and develops such military equipment.

FYI, American Artillerist and second Secretary of War Henry Knox was a private civilian artillery operator at the time of the Revolutionary war, a hobbyist and ballistics researcher. Accordingly he is now known as The farher of the American Artillery Arm

Okay. Let's start with this part: of the onstitution, Article III, Section 3:

Treason against the United States, shall consist only in levying war against them, or in adhering to their enemies, giving them aid and comfort.
