One of the things that made the Swiftboat Vetereans’ presentation so devastating was their complete independence of Bush. [In fact Rove hated them and wanted them to shut up. Without them, however, Bush would have lost.] People couldn’t claim they were merely pushing Bush. Rather, they were pushing truth, and it took Kerry down.
I don’t know how financing could be arranged—possibly through a Pac? But if the families stressed it wasn’t political, it was simply truth...Hillary would be roadkill.

Don’t think for one minute that Trump hasn’t already contacted them and is holding the info gathered for use when he needs it. Trump’s camp are very clever people and will keep their powder dry for now.
