He was always going after Jonathan Hoenig, even when they mostly agreed on the issue under discussion. Hoenig would get this bewildered look, and then just let Rodgers vent.
If that was the cause of him getting bounced off the show, I’m surprised someone didn’t take him aside and have ‘that talk’ before the breakpoint came. Or maybe they did, and Rodgers just wouldn’t let go of it.
