Good question. I wasn't aware there was even such a law until now.

Many are undercover. Mostly, to protect the families of LEO’s from being targeted by perps, bad ass perps!

There is so much corruption potential in other areas because of these hidden law provision for the ‘elite’ I call them VIP people. When it comes to public records, i.e. taxes and assessment, they are all hidden from public scrutiny. So what stops the county assessors from giving tax breaks to these elite ones since the values and specifics are all hidden from public scrutiny ???

I assume they don’t want home addresses of police to get out into public.
