The Bishop of Stockholm has proposed a church in her diocese remove all signs of the cross and put down markings showing the direction to Mecca for the benefit of Muslim worshippers. Eva Brunne, who was made the world's first openly lesbian bishop by the church of Sweden in 2009, and has a young son with her wife and fellow lesbian priest Gunilla Linden, made the suggestion to make those of other faiths more welcome.

The church targeted is the Seamen's mission church in Stockholm's eastern dockyards. The Bishop held a meeting there this year and challenged the priest to explain what he'd do if a ship's crew came into port who weren't Christian but wanted to pray.
Calling Muslim guests to the church 'angels', the Bishop later took to her official blog to explain that removing Christian symbols from the church and preparing the building for Muslim prayer doesn't make a priest any less a defender of the faith. Rather, to do any less would make one "stingy towards people of other faiths".
The bishop insisted this wasn't an issue, after all airports and hospitals already had multi-faith prayer rooms, and converting the dockyard church would only bring it up to speed. Regardless, the announcement has aroused protest.

People crave extinction. I don’t know why but they have repeatedly throughout history set themselves up for every major upheaval through their own actions. Most often by electing, supporting or otherwise contributing to the rise to power of very evil men/women. Whether it be DC or the local church. Power is power. Then, when the reality dawns on them, they don’t wish to accept the blame for the...ahem...fallout. And by then it’s too late to alter the course peacefully.

Whether anyone of protestant or Catholic faith wants to admit it, the actions of the Pope influence all christian denominations.
Since this Pope has openly sided with socialists and homosexuals, the other faiths have little reason to do anything but take advantage of his direction for Catholicism. Strength in (ideological) numbers makes the socialist/communists jobs easier. United they stand.

While the first layer of this seems to obviously be some sort of attempt to appease or become more ‘understanding’ of muslims, the other layer - to me - is that this is not that different from any church that changes itself to accommodate ‘seekers’ who are uncomfortable in traditional church settings.
The church does away with traditional anthems and hymns, gets a praise band and an amped up sound system, uses dramatic and exciting laser light shows during messages and performances, and those messages are diluted to encourage more tolerance for those who are different, love and getting along. Along the way to making un-churched seekers feel comfortable, the church marginalizes and alienates many regular members, often with the focus on the power and importance of Christ being greatly diminished as well.
