I am not being obtuse. In fact my warning and criticism is quite acute.
The Donald says the right things. And I think he’s been vetted more than any candidate, ever. I am sure I could puller the lever for him over Clinton 100% of the time.
Trump is a northeast republican. Much like some MA republicans, like Bill Weld and Scott Brown. Even Charlie Baker. There are social issues that he will compromise on that will drive conservatives nuts.
I am simply warning my friends here—ones who live and die on conservative social issues—that Trump will disappoint.
Is there anyone better? Anyone more “electable?” Nope.
We have always wanted government run like a business. It will be interesting to watch this evolve. I am not ready to swear him in. I am going to wait to see how this plays out.
I hope that was acute enough.
