This has been a political issue with homosexuals for years. Every argument would inevitably bring up violation of nature, and that would lead to the serious health detriments of HIV, and they CDC would be cited as proof that there is something biologically amiss inside the bodies of a huge percentage of homosexuals that the CDC would ban all of them from blood donations.
So, to get rid of that argument, the power brokers knew they had to allow homosexuals to give blood.
No matter the consequences, it had to be so for their narrative to be upheld.
